Great A&E. Ballarat is blessed to have this facility. The facility is of the highest quality and whoever selects and sets the standards for staff is doing a brilliant job. Admittedly I believe there was only one other client in A & E when I arrived 2pm Sunday, so I did receive care immediately, which was a great start.nI was on the was home from a 40 yr Nursing Reunion when I thought it best to be assessed. I do have a lot of respect for the Ballarat Base hospital A&E, but after reading the SJOG A&E reviews I went there.nI was very happy to pay $305 towards my care, which is significantly lower than private metro A&E's, clearly being provided at a loss based on the generous staffing levels, and positively comparable to a 10min appointment with a specialist. I received extraordinarily excellent care from every member of staff from triage, clerical, Nursing +++Especially Jeff, who couldn't have been more attentive, Lake Imaging, Pathology and support staff.nMost outstanding was Cathy the attending Dr who was professional, respectful, thorough, efficient and kind.nI had a clear view of the fishbowl and I watched all of the staff calmly pull together as the department filled up. It was very professional.nI especially appreciated that the clientele were quiet and cooperative.nThank you
Hands down the best hospital Experience I have ever had. I went in for a day surgery and the bedside care I received along with the warmth and kindness I Expierenced from the nurses & drs was truly wonderful. I have never felt so safe in my life in a hospital setting. I would also like to highlight the cleanliness of the part of the hospital I was in, it was literally CLEAN CLEAN. Very impressed and has given me a positive hospital memory rather than the trauma I have received from being a patient at other hospitals. Also 10/10 for foyer and entrance very welcoming and doesn’t give that clinical scary doom and gloom look.
I had an amazing experience in the maternity ward, thanks to the incredible midwives. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel safe, supported, and truly cared for. Their calm, compassionate presence during labor and delivery gave me so much confidence. They respected my birth plan, kept me informed, and treated me with kindness every step of the way. I’ll always be grateful for the care they provided—they made one of the most important moments of my life even more special.
I just want to say thank you to the loving, caring staff of ward 3 room 338. You were all amazing. The care you all provided while I was there was absolutely amazing. The restaurant quality food, the nursing staff, cleaning staff and surgeons staff. You were all beautiful, and I honestly will never forget the care you provided. Thank you
In ward 2 West for two nights after turp surgery. Most all staff attentive to their work . But I've never been in such a noisy ward of a hospital in my life. Had no sleep first night. Second night had some good sleep via earplugs and closing door . But some very noisy talks in ward too.
