Story

The hospital is a new modern facility equipped with six wards, a emergency medicine department, hydrotherapy pool, café, gift shop, Chapel, pharmacy, day procedure centre and front reception. Also included is a cardiac and vascular angiography suite, five operating theatres with state of the art theatre equipment.
Every year our dedicated team of medical specialists and experienced caregivers provide compassionate care to over 17,000 regional Victorians. Our care is distinctive, with more than 700 caregivers providing a warm and welcoming environment to meet our patients' needs. Our caregivers provide holistic care to all those that they encounter, respecting the unique dignity of every person.
The hospital returns all surplus to the community it serves through enhancing services and social outreach to people experiencing disadvantage.

Having had 2 recent stays in this hospital I cannot fault the care of the nursing staff, the orderlies, kitchen staff, every single person was amazing, they nursing staff could not have been more caring thoughtful and considerate of all my needs. They were so friendly, polite and helpful. Amazing staff thank you for your amazing care. I would not go to any other hospital. I wish we could have any surgical treatment done there by our Dr of choice.

I had a Gastroscopy October 2024. The service and care I received from beginning to end was faultless. The staff were friendly, reassuring and efficient. The facilities were great and infection control was top notch. A healthy and nutritious morning tea was a bonus. Thank you to everyone.

I came in via Emergency to SJOG Hospital Ballarat.nThe Nursing staff were absolutely fantastic the ER Doctor was a very professional gentleman who was amazing as well, just a genuine nice bloke. The pain I was in, would have been easily 8 or 9 out of 10. The Nurses and Doctor were extremely compassionate and got the pain relief on board very quickly thank God.nI was then admitted to the ward a very smooth transition.nWell the ward Nurses and other staff were amazing to sum up the staff would be extremely professional, friendly with true compassion and empathy towards the patients. On reflection I wonder about the recruitment procedures as they are obviously got it wrapped up pretty dam Good.  To Finnish with full room service Menu the food certainly was the best Hospital food I've ever had it was restaurant quality to say the least.nPlease forgive any grammatical mistakes still on pain medication.n10 put 10nDavid Carr

Absolutely brilliant nnI'm in hospital after having Mr Plank give me a Total Left Knee Replacement. The hospital is all very well equipped and clean, the staff are knowledgeable and caring and the food is really good .nnOn the off chance that you need new body parts, I couldn't recommend this hospital highly enough

I have nothing but praise for the staff at this hospital. We were down for a tournament when my daughter fell ill. The level of care provided was outstanding. Special mention to Bec, Wendy, Kate, Kaz, doctors Andre and Peter. You are all a credit to the hospital and represent top quality care. Many thanks !
