Overall i can see this place being great, just maybe we chose the wrong season haha. There were leaks in the roof due to the rain, so there was a bucket on the floor, unavoidable but not a great look. As soon as you go up the stairs the musky smell just fills the air. The tables were sticky but it wasn't due to spills etc, I think it's just that type of table or been sealed. I've come across them alot dining out. We did have a good experience. Great and friendly staff, and the food tasted great. A few dishes took a while too come out, almost like they forgot but wasnt a huge deal. We loved the app but also received hard copy menus which was good. I love how the app shows photos aswell. I think there should be more options regarding the free pint you get with the special meals, or at least an option to pay a little extra to get a drink of your choice. Would be happy to return
Good pub food but staff hard to track down. We found them conspicuous by their absence. We ordered by using the app then saw staff. Food was served hot and as described. Calamari tender, plentiful chips with my burger and a good sized kid's meal.
One of the best steaks with a pint I’ve had for $20. More the steak really as there weren’t any options for the pint. Fantastic atmosphere for a Friday lunch.
Came for the meet and Greet for Robert Whitter sponsored by Howler head. Venue was amazing. Staff and Security helpful and friendly. Food and drinks were amazing. Definitely visiting again and can't wait to tell my friends and family of this place
The meatball sub was amazing. You can tell they've put a lot of work into their food. Can't wait to try everything else!
This venue is a lot bigger than expected. It has a formal dining area, informal dining, outdoor area, and upstairs function area with a bar. Staff were friendly. The chips I ordered were good and vodka sodas were nice. Overall would be a great place to spend a sat Arvo :
Bad place to eat or have a drink. I have been here 2 times and both bad service. Today tue 19/7/22, nobody cares when you walk in, average service. They just sell food using an unreliable app. No printed menus. If you do not have a phone and know how to use it very well, cannot see menu or order food. Just badly planned. Unfriendly for people with disabilities or elderly people. No a family place. There is a reason why the place was empty today. App kept crashing and looks cheap. Basic menu. Order a chicken parmi, wait for almost 20 minutes, chips portion really small. Slaw salad was slaw full if onion. See photo. Toilets average clean. Better to take a 5 min drive and go to The Herdsman Lake tavern. They have better food there, cheaper and way better service. The second worst place where I have been after The Wanneroo Tavern.
Booked our table for 5pm for footy, showed up at 4.50 and could not find our table. Spent twenty minutes searching and asked for assistance only to find our table had been taken. Staff told the other patrons that they could take our table if we hadn’t showed up by 5pm which was the precise time of our booking and despite us arriving early to find our table, no compromise or efforts to find us a new table were made. Offer of a free round of drinks doesn’t quite make up for the fact our experience and view game was ruined. Was real good watching those f*ckwits enjoying themselves in front of the big screen while we crammed ourselves into a corner.
Visited for a Father's Day meal. Food was delicious as was the cocktails. The wife had one of the best Chicken Parmigiana in a long time "Hot, Crispy, and Delicious" were her words. I had the steak cooked rare, and was tasty. Only negative, to get in the venue with a pram or wheelchair, you need to enter via the Eastern Carpark and walk around the whole building to get in.
How can you get it so wrong? Came to The Saint on a Saturday evening expecting good things from a neighbourhood pub, I was very disappointed. The building itself is tired, unclean and rundown, in desperate need of a little love and attention. The service we received did nothing to improve on our first impressions. Staff didn't seem to care, too busy chatting amongst themselves, not so much as a smile between them, definitely not a friendly welcome. I understand everyone is short staffed at the moment and its tough, but it wasn't busy. The cherry on the top of our bad experience was the Nachos. I didn't think it was possible to make bad nachos, The Saint proved me wrong. Corn chips were stale and bland, chill was non-existent, the cheese horrible liquid cheese and it was stone cold. This place doesn't come close to other pubs and bars in the area, very disappointing
