A great Spotlight alternative for me to visit whenever I am at Morayfiled.nnThis where I get supplies for my arts and crafts.nnPaints, vinyls, sticky tapes, tie dye kits etcnnSpotlight offers a great deal for members as they do as uch as 50 percent off the original price of an item or product that you are searching for. You don't even have to bring your membership card as your registered mobile phone number is sufficient to identify you as their member.
I had 2 visits to spotlight to order some helium balloons for a party, then pick them up last Saturday.nnApart from alot of items being out of stock when I was first looking, when I picked up my prepaid order last Saturday can’t get any easier than that , the girl had such a rude attitude, & I mean attitude. I even thanked her, she faced her back to me & she just walked off. Glad I didn’t let that spoil my milestone birthday & my party I’ve been looking forward to & planning for months.nnIt costs nothing to be kind but atleast have decent friendly customer service. Happy with my balloons, not happy with the staff whom served me.
Absolutely appalling service from one particular staff member at Spotlight Morayfield. I came in to purchase several clearance items including pillowcases and a king quilt cover set. The quilt cover sets were clearly displayed on a table with a sign stating “KING quilt covers $50.” There were multiple identical items on that table, so naturally I selected one assuming it was $50, despite the original sticker saying $130.nnAt checkout, everything started off fine until I asked for a simple price match on a doona — something that is extremely standard retail practice. The staff member’s attitude immediately changed. She became rude, dismissive, and oddly defensive, as if the price match was coming out of her own pocket. I had multiple websites ready showing the item cheaper elsewhere, but she insisted on finding it on her own device, which was painfully slow. After wasting several minutes, she simply gave up and refused to proceed.nnThen came the quilt cover set. She scanned it and said $65. I politely explained that the table clearly stated $50. Her response? A snarky “Half of 130 is 65,” completely ignoring the signage. I pointed out the sign again, and she reluctantly stomped over to check. After seeing she was wrong, she tried to claim another customer must have placed the items there by mistake — despite there being multiple identical sets on the table. It was an obvious attempt to deflect rather than admit fault.nnShe then called for assistance, which took even more time, only to come back and finally confirm it was indeed $50 — exactly as the sign clearly stated from the beginning. No apology, just a casual “thanks for your patience.”nnTo top it off, she still refused to price match the doona, so the store lost that sale entirely. It’s honestly baffling how someone can behave as though store pricing decisions personally affect them.nnThe entire interaction was unnecessarily difficult, time-wasting, and uncomfortable. A simple transaction turned into a drawn-out ordeal purely due to one employee’s attitude and unwillingness to provide basic customer service. Oh and her name is Karin which checks out.
I've always had good experience at Spotlight Morayfield. However, today the lady at the fabric cutting table was just not interested to serve. The receipt says 'Susan', not sure if it's really her name or that was someone who signed in at the till earlier in the day.nnFabric shopping is supposed to be a happy event. Please understand that and provide a better customer experience, one with a smile would be nice.
Everything is easy to find and staff are always happy to help when you ask them. Upon check out it can be busy and the line long, but the staff do their best to keep the line moving.
