It's fine. Great range of sewing and fabric related products, but besides that most items were mediocre. The staff were helpful which was definetly important as things aren't labelled very well. There aren't any isle numbers meaning actually finding products can be somewhat tricky. Overall the experience could be better but I do recommend it if you're looking for sewing related products.
July 2022: six months in and this place is now just like any other superstore spotlight. Gone is the character filled CBD store, and in with the soleless boring retail box store. The team are however super friendly and helpful and their stock range seems to have expanded. Opening 17th December 2021
Good store layout. Wish they had joined the Bunnings carpark together though.
Great place to go for affordable, yet quality, bedding - sheets, duvet covers and pillows. Plenty to choose from.
I've been here much more than I imagined I would. It's a massive store. They have a lot of stuff here that is of absolutely no relevance to me, so all I can comment on is the artist paints and related paraphernalia. They have some nice brands, but I find that the stock has been a little low lately. If it was full I would be very delighted. I also find things like the cheaply made paintbrushes to be a little overpriced for what they are.
Considering it is Australia’s largest craft store, the selection of envelopes is appalling. I thought you are supposed to cater for something so simple. Nothing better than what office works offers for business. Only the only thing close to nice envelopes were some weird pocket ones.
Had an awful experience today instore with two young girls at counter.i myself worked in customer service for 30 years.i know everyone has a bad day BUT there is no need to be rude to people.I was at what I believed to be haberdashery counter and there were two girls one with a trolley and the other was folding material saying how nice the fabric was. I approached the counter and asked if someone could help me find some wool I even had a photo on my phone.the girl with the trolley jumped in and said it's not her departmen then rudely sent me down to the balloon lady who was lovely.But if it wasn't for her I would have never stepped foot in spotlight again.
Staff are pretty unfriendly. Pricing is so confusing. They put 10 different similar things in one basket and then only the price for the cheapest. It's wrong!,
Loved it, I was in there for almost 2 hours, I only went in the get a few photo frames and stayed until I'd looked in every department.
Needed a large rug and a hall runner and found just what I needed at a great price. Very helpful young lady even went and found me a trolley
