Great store with a huge range of craft supplies, fabrics, home décor, party items, and more. The store was well stocked and easy to browse, and I found everything I needed in one place. Prices were reasonable, especially with the frequent sales and specials. Overall, a great shopping experience and I'll definitely be back.
I LOVE this place. It is BIG.nIt's situated in an industrial area so it ia seperate from the suburb of Glenorchy.nThe staff are helpful, quick to serve you, and friendly.nThere is a wide range of fabric, art supplies and haberdashery along with the usual homewares.nSO MUCH PARKING, a cafe next door, and accessibility throughout the store.nI picked up the latest national sewing machine sale in store and a range of fabrics and patterns required for a project.nI highly recommend Spotlight Glenorchy
I had a very disappointing experience with Spotlight.nnOn 11 July 2026, I purchased a black rug for $33. It appeared to be a resellable item that was already on display. After taking it home, I realised it didn’t suit my room, so I returned the very next morning 12 July 2026, around 10:10–10:30 am to exchange it for a lighter-coloured rug. I was not asking for a refund.nThe staff member called the manager, and they both inspected the rug before refusing the exchange, saying it didn’t look acceptable to them. I explained that the rug was already not clean when I bought it and that it had cat hair on it, even though I don’t have a cat at home. The other staff member agreed with the manager’s decision, and I felt that my explanation was not taken into consideration or that any effort was made to resolve the situation.nI felt embarrassed and disappointed, especially as I had returned the item less than 24 hours after purchasing it and was only requesting an exchange. This was my first experience shopping at Spotlight, and unfortunately, it has left me with a poor impression of the store and its customer service.
It's fine. Great range of sewing and fabric related products, but besides that most items were mediocre. The staff were helpful which was definetly important as things aren't labelled very well. There aren't any isle numbers meaning actually finding products can be somewhat tricky. Overall the experience could be better but I do recommend it if you're looking for sewing related products.
We were looking for something and I asked a lovely lady for assistance Necole and she went above and beyond to help us find what we required.nShe was getting price checks for us.nAnd we walked out with what we wanted Thank you Necole, keep up your friendly, helpful assistance.
