So many products! Always find something you weren't expecting to buy!nFound the right size curtains, at last, at half price!nCan be a bit difficult getting around the store in some places, too squeezy!nAnnoyed at how many products were missing prices! I was trying to compare prices on a cooking utensil, gave up and just grabbed one.nThe checkout area is quite small and crowded and short on staff.
I visited Spotlight this afternoon and was really disappointed by the customer service.nThe lady at the counter didn’t greet me — no “hello” or “thank you” — and even looked at me with an angry face the whole time.nI have the receipt from that visit, so the store can easily check which staff member was at the counter.nHer attitude made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.nI hope the management will take this seriously and improve staff training and customer service.
I had a wonderful experience shopping at Spotlight Box Hill. The store is always well-organized, making it easy to find what I need, whether it’s fabrics, home décor, or craft supplies. The team members are friendly, approachable, and always willing to offer assistance or helpful suggestions, which makes the shopping experience even more enjoyable.nnI was especially impressed with their wide range of quality products at great value, and the creative inspiration the store provides for any project. I highly recommend Spotlight Box Hill to anyone looking for excellent customer service, variety, and a positive shopping experience.nnWhat stood out the most was the excellent customer service – the staff were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. They took the time to answer my questions, offer suggestions, and made sure I found exactly what I needed.nnTheir friendly and professional approach made my shopping experience smooth and enjoyable. I truly appreciate their commitment to customer care and would highly recommend Spotlight Box Hill to anyone looking for great products and outstanding service.
Extremely disappointing and frankly shocking experience at Box Hill Spotlight. I watched a polite customer ask a completely reasonable question to one employee, and before they could get an answer, an employee named Antonietta aggressively butted in. She didn’t just interrupt—she dominated the conversation, talking over the customer repeatedly, in a loud and condescending tone. The customer stayed calm, but Antonietta showed zero patience or professionalism, continuing to push her words over theirs. Everyone in line was visibly uncomfortable, lowkey shocked, and honestly a bit scared at how aggressive she was. It was completely uncalled for.nnThen, at checkout, her rudeness didn’t stop. She didn’t greet me, didn’t say a word, and scanned my items without pressing “go” on the EFTPOS machine or telling me the total. She huffed, stared at the ceiling, and when I politely asked if she had pressed the button, she snapped at me for no reason.nnWatching a customer being aggressively bullied, followed by my own unpleasant checkout experience, made this visit extremely frustrating. Antonietta’s behavior was shocking, unnecessarily aggressive, and entirely unacceptable.
I usually like to visit this spotlight and the staff have always been friendly. Having said that I tried their click and collect system, thinking it would have been easier to find items than in store, however, the website says it's around a 2 business hour time before you receive the email to come and collect yet I had ordered my items the night before and it is already 3pm the next day. I know sometimes it can be busy in store but a 6 hour wait seems a bit excessive.
