I went in without an appointment to see if they would be able to help and they sure could. My number plates were stolen and in the process there was damage to my car. Instead of taking me for a ride and charging me through the roof to replace the bumper they simply suggested an alternative. 

They were so friendly and helpful and took the time to think of some alternative options which wouldn't cost me anything in the end. They took time out of their busy day for my benefit, something that you don't often get.

Thanks again & if (god forbid) I am ever in need of repairs you will be the first stop.

The team couldn't be more helpful. Watching the process of building the quote and the photography and dictation that goes into constructing this  with each of our fleet cars has been highly instructive and has helped give me a greater understanding of what goes on with repairing a modern car.
In terms of completion and providing a satisfactory finished vehicle I think they  have a higher standard and expectations of their work than I would ever have; which means I know I am getting a great car to drive away with.

Phil Galea and the team helped repaired my car, and took care of everything from start to finish. Great professionalism and communication throughout the whole process. A great experience and would definitely recommend to anyone

Their professionalism and excellent communication skills Meant that these guys turned an unfortunate accident into a surprisingly positive and seamless experience. They took all the trouble of dealing with the insurance company off my hands and did the job in breakneck speed.  I won’t take my BMW anywhere else.

The Service: Where do I begin! I took my Mondeo to South Melbourne Smash Repairs with side damage and from the very start I was treated with what can only be described as the best customer experience I have ever received in ANY industry - let alone automotive repairs! 
The entire team live and breathe good old fashioned customer service where the customer is placed pride of place in their business.
Maserati, Porsche, Ferrari, Rolls Royce etc. all trust SMSR with their vehicles. When I took my Mondeo (a well looked after and loved car) they made me feel like I drove a Ferrari in for repair! I, and more importantly my car, received the utmost care, attention to detail and respect.
The Job: They took all the hassle out of dealing with the insurance company and made everything effortless – the end result? Well you can see why Rolls Royce dealerships trust them with cars worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Phil has an eye for detail that is truly extraordinary and on top of this his team are perfectionists! The job completed was like nothing ever happened – now I’ve owned show cars so I know a high quality finish when I see one and this was perfection.
Phil rang me a couple of weeks on from the job and checked in to make sure the car and I were all ok and happy! Hardly any companies do this anymore and this proves they genuinely care. They didn’t rush my job through for quick cash or try to bamboozle me with car talk, they took their time to make sure everything was right and they explained everything in plain English all the way through the process.
We’ve all heard so many horror stories about auto body shops. So if like me you love your car – be it a Mondeo or a Maserati - don’t take the risk. Take it to SMSR where they aren’t just panel beaters, they’re qualified magicians who take pride in their work and genuinely care for you and your car.
