A perfect cave like bar with exposed sandstone walls for after work drinks. Both indoor and outdoor seating available, but I would always choose inside since it is soooo cool . Serves light snacks as well.
A very small authentic stone bar that I discovered while walking tonight... Amazing vibe with the amazing bartender Zahra... I had a passion fruit martini definitely done with passion... I will definitely come back and bring people with me. What an amazing experience
Nice bar in a great location. Love the building it's in and nice outdoor area too. Nice touch with the cocktails glassware having a connection back to the gas light bulb factory.
Held my birthday here last weekend and had an absolutely stellar time. Not only is this an amazing venue but is most importantly backed by even better hosts. A well deserved shoutout to Anthony and his dream team for their wonderful hospitality and for going above and beyond for me and all my guests. We will definitely be returning and recommend Solera to anyone looking to host their next event!
Great service and vibe, love their cocktails and music! Good place for private party!
Do NOT give this bar your money. My worst ever bar experience - by far - was at Solera a few weeks ago after being yelled and sworn at by a staff member, and I would give this place 0 stars if I could. We made a booking for a work event and arrived on time. When we spoke with one of the staff he had an English accent and didn't seem to be working behind the bar, just hanging around the door, he appeared to be very intoxicated and was extremely rude. When we approached him and said we wanted to order some prosecco, he said: "We don't have that much prosecco! I have other people here to serve. You can't just rock up and expect us to have that much on hand. I don't know what you expect me to do." Just add a curse word in every sentence. When we pointed out that we had made a booking, he replied: "Yeah, but did you pre-order drinks? No? We can't help you if you don't pre-order." No other bar or restaurant in Sydney has demanded pre-orders, and the Solera website did not indicate that pre-orders were essential either. This guy was very agitated and shouted and swore at us for several minutes in this vein. Even when we said we were happy to pay for whatever they did have on hand, he acted like we were doing him an incredible disservice. I've honestly never seen anyone in a bar behave so poorly, and it was barely 7pm! We decided that we didn't want to stay at this venue if it meant having to deal with this person. As our group was leaving, I went to speak with him again to make it clear that we had in fact showed up for our booking and were not 'no shows'. He took the opportunity to shout and swear at me some more, and got very aggressive. His behaviour escalated to the point where other patrons who were quite alarmed and couldn't ignore this very loud, angry man intervened and told him to calm down. We went down the street to the Sussex instead, where the staff were nothing but polite and welcoming thanks Sussex!. We will not be returning to Solera, and have been telling everyone else at our firm to go anywhere but this bar.
Great staff and great cocktails. Worth a visit for those reasons alone! Recommend the illuminator cocktail if you can handle spice.
Really nice cozy place to chill out... great service and good options for drinks. The barman really looked after us. I love the bar interior design people should check this out. At the moment there is construction going on in front of the street, will be a bit tricky to find this place but it's really worth it to come here.
Good Happy hour cocktail. Good hideaway location, outdoor seating options...so a good option for sunny days if you're working in and around the Crown towers area.
The bartender with an English accent was so rude and I am pretty sure he was drunk. He ruined our night, they clearly don’t seem to vet their employees.
