Great food, all the dishes you want to try in NZ; venison, lamb, beef etc. cooked superbly with an affordable kids menu and bounce house. Relaxing for the parents while the kids played safely. Great range of grog. Super friendly and efficient service, our kids loved the having a laugh with the team running the place. Highly recommend.

Well, still waiting on the food after one hour in a restaurant that does not seem full. Wait staff are excellent, friendly and quick. The kitchen is very, very slow. Rough if you have kids that are hungry and tired from a day at the beach. Going for a quiet dinner to speak with your dinner companions? Not the place to be tonight The young lady singing had such a beautiful Stevie Nicks like voice but the amp was so loud it was distorted. I reckon an up and coming country singer on NZ's Got Talent. This review started as a '2' but went up to a '4' if you can forego the wait and the noise. The venison came out dry as a bone but was happily replaced within 5 minutes with a beautiful plate of seared venison perfectly red and soft as butter. The salmon dish was simply amazing. The lamb was also a stunner. Even the veggies were great. Will go back but maybe without the kids next time.

Had the venison was cooked perfectly. Looked like they were a bit short staffed - So we didn't eat till late. We didn't mind. Looks like they were just about the only place that's kitchen was still open. You'd think most would be on a long weekend. Would definitely go back.

Service and food were good. Main portion sizes a little big perhaps, especially if ordering starters. Good drinks selection, with a few craft beers available on tap.
