Pizza is tasty and fresh ingredients, but the cocktails are amazing great selection made our night. The service is friendly and the girls are happy and helpful.
We went to Nero's last night, as we are nearing the end of our time in whangamata and wanted to go somewhere a bit special - Nero's came highly recommended. We were greeted with a smile as we walked in the door and that great service remained throughout the evening. The lady who served us was attentive but not overbearing. We started off with a cocktail each, the margherita was delicious albeit small, and the negroni was average, but that did not carry through to the delicious food that came next. The baked camembert was creamy and delicious, the pate with port wine jelly and pickles were a match made in heaven, and the thai green curry mussels were so damn good I was drinking the broth at the end. These 3 entrees/sharing plates were enough for the 2 of us, and with the 2 cocktails came to less than $100 which was reasonable for an above average restaurant, so all in all we left very happy. Thanks Nero's we will come back if in Whangamata again.
Excellent service, great food, welcoming and friendly, selection of a dozen or so pretty good craft beers, very delicious baked camembert special when went.
Lovely pizza a 1/2 and 1/2 Moroccan Lamb and Spicy Mediterranean great flavors + a garlic and caramelized onion pizza bread + a fab wine and very friendly young staff

Was one of the few places open on Sunday was after a seafood dish, but went for the next best thing. Ribs were tasty!! Left feeling full and satisfied
This is one of the worst restaurants I’ve been to, there was no atmosphere and the decor was as if they’d turned a travel agents into a restaurant overnight. The food was okay at best, we ate it as quickly as we could and left within 20 minutes. Sadly we cannot recommend anywhere else as we were only there for one night but the smoked pallet looked better for food.
Best pizza in Whangamata hands down. Keep calm if you are here over summer. Huge waits due to its popularity with those in the know. If you are going to eat in always pays to ask how long wait will be for takeaway as you don't get to front of que by dining in so that will be a good guage. Outstanding service tho and epic pizzas!!
If your looking for tasty food please do not waste your time here! For a very quiet restaurant the service was very poor and slow. Pasta was horrible, if you going to serve fettuccine Alfredo at least know how to make it...the oil was literally dripping off the food and was disgusting to say the least!
Fantastic meal, with great service. Would happily eat here again.
