Just finished getting my hair done washed dried and styled for under a 100 bucks

I got my roots done along with a style and am SO appreciative of this salon. It was the one spot that could get me in last minute which made me a bit nervous. Once I sat down I was very at ease. The stylist asked the right questions and explained what she would do to cover my roots. The blowout and color came out amazing.

This salon is absolutely fantastic. There's a special teamwork and contentment amongst all the staff. The owners Erik & Ning are a lovely young couple who are super friendly & hardworking. Erik is a wonderful hairstylist & Ning a talented colour consultant. Terence is an absolute gem who has a real gift in hair with at least 20 years experience - cutting colouring, styling. He's a gentle soul and has done wonders with my fine hair. I have the utmost confidence in all the staff there. The prices are extremely reasonable as well. I have come here a few times when I needed reliable wax sessions, but my recent experience has was just unpleasant, not only did it feel the whole session felt rush when I mentioned more than one time for her wait cause it’s been awhile since I got the brazillian and I just needed time to adjust to the pain, it was when I was faced back and quite exposed that she decided to open the door to check if her next client was there, not even giving me the decency to put the towel to cover. Even if I’m supposedly hidden, they should atleast make sure of that before opening the door.

Went in here for a haircut and colour ombre/dip dye/whatever they're called. Staff were very tolerant and friendly however the stylist did the colour way too high up so now it basically just looks like i dyed my whole head but have my roots showing. It doesn't really fade in super well. They didn't ask where I wanted it to go up to. The hairdresser showed me a photo of a woman who had an ombre that started at around the ears as an example and it ended up starting on my upper forehead. Asked the hairdresser not to take off much of the length hair went down to armpits when I walked in and he cut it basically to my shoulders, but of course I was charged for past-shoulders hair dying because they did the dye first. I also personally really dislike when hairdressers try to make my thick wavy/curly hair straight and thin by thinning it with scissors and straightening it with heat, because it's not what it usually looks like and it shows that the hairdresser has no idea what to do with hair that isn't asian or on a white girl from, like, Finland. I prefer if the cut suits my hair type. I wasn't consulted on whether I wanted my hair thinned or straightened, and received both treatments. I was visibly unhappy by the end of it and the hairdressers all kept giving me nervous looks as though they wanted to quickly brush off this customer that looks unhappy before they actually open their mouth about it, and of course charged me the full $364 for a long hair colour balayage with a haircut that made it barely long enough to qualify as past the shoulders in the end. I didn't want to leave a mean review because the staff were very friendly, but I'm pretty unhappy with my hair.Services: Hair coloring

I’m only visiting Auckland for a week but needed my lashes filled between my holiday trips. I called Smart Hair and I was able to get an appointment the same afternoon and my lashes look AMAZING! The woman who did my lashes did an exceptional job, she was super friendly and the prices were great. If I lived here I’d go back every 2 weeks :

I had my haircut from Eric and highlights done by Ning and her staff last Monday, they were very lovely, went through each process step by step and let me know what they were doing and why.. it was a long wait after the bleach even the staff asked if I was okay or needed any drinks or so.. hair cut was exactly how I wanted.. they are my new favorite place for hair now and I have been recommending all my friends and family there whoever asks for a good hair saloon. I worked as a hairdresser for 20 years. I'm no longer one and when I first moved to Auckland I discovered Eric by chance when I needed a Fringe trim. I could tell straight away he was a fantastic cutter and I've been going ever since. I'd say he is the best hair cutter I've been to and as a bonus it's super reasonable pricing. I highly recommend for cuts and also eyebrow maintenance at this place. I've never had a colour here but I can't imagine they wouldn't be great at that also
