A fantastic experience while in Queenstown. Budget for at least an hour or two to be at the top as well. There is a restaurant or just drinks section coffee and justices too. There is a shop with gifts and clothes, there are a few photo opportunities, and lots of other activities if you want them as options. We had a great time, had next to no wait time we came around midday on a Saturday.nYou can also buy tickets online, but you don't have to.
Booked for the buffet at 7.45pm post Queenstown Marathon for 6 people.nnAny restaurant that needs a gondola trip up to u know the views will be good!!nnViews 10/10! Not only on trip up as saw mountain goats etc but from the viewing platform and bar!nnWe paid extra to ensure a window seat and was worth the extra money as was outstanding views of Queenstown and the surrounding mountains!nnFood, to be honest you really couldn’t fault the food! Everything was absolutely amazing!nPost Mara we were hungry so we hit the buffet. The meat/grill section was honestly where I spent most my time! Pork, venison, grilled salmon oh just fantastic!nI’m not a sweets/dessert person but I did have some and it was delicious!nHome made ice cream Black Forest, chocolate brownie, lemon tart…..nnWhilst this isn’t a cheap option for a reward for post marathon and was also 2x girls birthdays it was worth it for the food and location/experience!!
Skyline Queenstown offers stunning views from the top and an exciting luge ride that's incredibly fun. However, three rides just aren't enough – five would be perfect to fully enjoy the experience. It was a bit disappointing that another route was closed during our visit, but overall, it's worth it for the views and the luge!
Skyline was a great experience with my family! We signed up for the gondola + dinner + star gazing but unfortunately star gazing got canceled. They did refund that portion of our ticket which we really appreciated since we didn’t have any other nights to move it to. The gondola ride gave great views of Queenstown and the mountain goats on the way up! We felt very safe and sturdy.nnThe dinner itself was decent enough. The buffet had a wide variety of food but nothing too exciting. There was live music as well. The views before sunset were beautiful.nnUnfortunately due to the timing we couldn’t fit in the luge ride but I’d love to go back and try it next time! It looked very fun.nnI will say the free photo you get is pretty bad quality. They turn you into an apparition/ghost. nnParking in the building could be validated and was fairly easy to find spots. Also was quite accessible for elderly folks with not too much walking.
One of the must do things if you are in Queenstown. The views are spectacular. You can book in person or online to avoid ques. Price for adult is $64, but they have combos for families and if you do other activities. Entry was easy online booking by just a QR scsn that is sent to you when you book. Before boarding you can get a complimentary photo that you can download. The ride up is very smooth and quiet. Once up you xant go to the viewing deck where you can take amazing photos and videos. On the day i visited they were doing construction but it didn't impact the views. The Cafe area is busy, sadly they don't do takeaway coffee. But also expect to wait 20-30 minutes for your order $6 for a regular flat white. The coffee itself was quite tepid, so abit of improvement needed in this area.
