If I could give a minus review I would as I feel a 1 star rating is extremely generous. Throughout our experiences with Simonds they didn't get much right, however they did totally change the layout of the house for us to give us the rooms we wanted.  Unfortunately this is where the good experiences ended.  All along we told them we wanted polished concrete floors, they kept trying to talk us out of this and push us onto concrete tiles as they had no experience with polished concrete flooring . The site manager came in on the tender meeting supposedly to discuss the flooring and he didn't appear to have a clue of what he was talking about. He was down right rude and totally ignored my wife.  We were originally told that the initial deposit paid was refundable - ha don't you believe it!!   You won't see a cent of that back if anything goes wrong. They totally messed up on the pricing.  At the tender meeting we discovered there was $52,000 added on in price to compensate their mistakes and they couldn't see anything wrong with it. They actually got very defensive and borderline nasty about it when we pulled out of the build due to their numerous mistakes. My only advise to anyone thinking of entering a Simonds show home office is to keep walking, and build with someone else, I could never recommend. I know several people looking to build and will certainly be steering them well away from Simonds.
