Quite a drive to get there. The best part is probably the views of the ranges across. The lighthouse - well, it's juts an old lighthouse so nothing exciting really. Not much to do around - but the drive has some interesting views of the green valleys and peaks. Good to kill a day over a weekend if you run out of ideas...

Yet another spectacular lookout close to Auckland. Great bike ride on the way here. Views are stunning.

Such a beautiful drive and place to visit. Definitely worth it, but a little misleading as it's a 2+ hour drive from Titirangi, but only 20kms as the bird flies. Feels so far away from Auckland, but so close as well. It's a great day-escape if you need one!

This is one of the best lighthouses I have visited in NZ. The lighthouse is one of the very few where one can enter the actual building and see the surroundings. Great 360 degree views on a clear day. Amazing place. Highly recommended.

Excellent views of Manukau Harbour, Waitakere Ranges and even downtown Auckland in the distance. Only a 3-5 minute walk from the car park to the lighthouse.
