I love this place and a happy returning customer!!! We come here for the Omakase 24pc assorted sashimi platter and the oysters because of the quality and the affordable price. We would recommend.
The beef was not that good. Softshell crab was amazing.
Good authentic Japanese place in Carnegie. Great varied selection of items to order with tasty, authentic Japanese flavours. Fairly cheap and nice inside decor.
Hassle free restaurant despite em busy..... recommended if you are in Carnegie.... I'm blown away by their fish shoulder, which was through pretty early......Hope to have that next time......But the highlight for me was Octo Salad, which wasn't too bad.......Look forward for next visit
Hands down, one of the best casual Japanese restaurants in Melbourne. The unagidon in the photo was awesomely delicious - perfect balance of sweet and salty and umami, and the eel itself had a perfect layer of fat that made the whole dish fantastic. Shyun has always been my go-to for Japanese food. Fuss-free, good value for money, and fresh and quality food. Sushi and sashimi are consistently fresh and tasty, and the cooked to order dishes are foolproof. While nothing mind-blowing, I know I can be assured of a satisfying feed here.
Nice food, can be very busy, service is good, we are happy. One of us is not satisfied that the food is much less than what in the drawing and get replaced, they are willing to help customer. Quite a positive experience
Nice atmosphere, delicious options with an ingenious way for ordering on a tablet so you can order more as you go if you want.
From 4 stars to 3 they will say the wait is 30 mins for take away then make you wait an hour. Food is just not worth it. Many other better places down the street
