It was underwhelming. The only food that was really good was the beef where it was perfectly cooked and seasoned properly. The rest were bland. The miso soup doesnt even look like one. The chef was really nice though and some mid cooking entertainment.
Don't waste your time and money here. We were there since almost all other restaurants were full - maybe because it's long weekend. - Service was non-existent. Waitress was rude. - Food took 1 hour to cook and they gave us the wrong order. - Food was tasteless. Portion was small for what they charge us and I noticed that they microwave my miso soup. - The decor is depressing please see photo and weirdly enough there's a supermarket trolley there.
A little crowded, Decor a bit dated and noisy. But delicious food cooked right on the teppanyaki grill in front of you. Chef flipped the egg into the kids mouths and they loved it
One of the highlights each time I come to Canberra. Nice atmosphere. Very polite and respectful waitress. Food is excellent. I cannot understand why this place is not packed every night. Thank you to the chef for great food and making us welcome.
Would I've been nice if we could have finished our food instead being rushed out the door because they book other renovations. You'd think after paying more than $400, they would let you finish eating your dessert before kicking you out the door! We had paid the bill so they kicked all 9 of us out, some of still had un touched desserts in the bowels and half a bottle of wine which all got swept away even with us complaining we were not finish. The food was nice and the chief was lovely. Just a bittersweet end and we won't return .
We were a bit put off as they advised us their were no oysters, no lamb or pork available. However what we did choose was perfect but I cannot say the same about the service. It was very slow and the waitress appeared to be a little on the grumpy side. We dined mid week and there were only 3 other tables being occupied so we would have expected the service to be a little quicker.
We came to this restaurant on a Friday night because our first choice was fully booked. The head waitress was really rude and impatient. In terms of food, the salmon sashimi had knife score on it, not even a full piece! Tuna was chewy and I've never had king fish sashimi with some skin left on it! The tempura was coated with thick greasy batter, more like battered fish in fish and chips, definitely not the usual light tempura batter. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience. Highly not recommend.
Food was ok, however, the head waitress was extremely rude and it seemed the other waitresses didn't really know what they were doing. Also, this restaurant does not allow to split bills between a table which is very inconvenient. Customer service has no priority here, wouldn't recommend it.
So incredibly helpful and understanding to a table full of people who all had different food intolerances - ranging from sugar to gluten to dairy to onion and garlic. We had tepanyaki and The chef remembered them all and separated each part from the rest while he was cooking. It couldn't have been easy on him to remember it all and change up his recipe, yet he did it all with a smile and a laugh and fun showmanship. Food was great and the evening was a fun outing for our group. The other staff were very helpful too. Highly recommended!
As a regular customer who visit the restaruant very often. I would like to say that the service and the food are both high qualitied. The food here is AWESOME and the attitude of service in the restarant is Excellent! I would like to say that sometimes the chef and waiters are busy, so being polite snd patient is required to access delicious food. Please pay respect to the chef and the waiters, their deligent work and the food they cook deserve a well written review.
