Simply delicious, and incredibly well priced. We enjoyed Shiraaz through lockdown, regularly getting takeaway. Tonight we dined in and were not disappointed. A couple of Mojitos, butter chicken, saagwala, coconut and lemon rice, capped off with garlic Naan - just . Thankyou Shiraaz, your service and amazing food will have us coming back again soon!
Beautiful meal. We asked for extra spicy and we got it, just right not too spicy.. We had a vindaloo and madras with mushroom and onion rice and naan. All delicious. Restaurant is clean and comfortable. Only reason I marked 4 for atmosphere cos it was a Tuesday night. Thanks for the lovely food!
We had a delicious dinner here last night! As Indian food lovers, in Melbourne we eat Indian cuisine at least 2 times a week. All I can say is the garlic cheese naan was the best we’ve had, anywhere in the world! The restaurant was very clean, lovely staff and the food was great. We had a samosa chaat, which was great! The butter chicken was a bit stingey with 4 bits of chicken, but the naans, chaat, made up for it as they were outstanding. My kids said the chocolate milkshake was the best ever, and they know their market as kids love a chip and they had chips on the menu. We will be back - a delicious experience!
This place is awesome . Being an Indian myself , i was very impressed with food both quality and quantity. . Nice Bar too . Staff and Service is excellent, specially Anmol and Navneet. Both are greatpolite and very well spoken. I would highly recommend this place.
I visited Shiraaz in early 2022 and was very impressed. My wife and I and two kids decided to visit again roughly a year later, only to be very disappointed. Firstly our main meals were served before our appetizers. Secondly, both of our curries were of average quality at best. My wife had a Korma where the curry sauce tasted like pumpkin soup from a can, it may have actually been exactly that. I had a Balti curry that was not very rich and had what appeared to be peas, corn and corn from the freezer section at the supermarket. We were both very disappointed and will have to think seriously about going back there. Hopefully this was just an off night without their regular chef as this restaurant was spectacular the first time we went there. Hopefully it can return to its former quality.
We visited Shiraaz on a recent trip to Geelong convinced it was affiliated with the delicious Melbourne restaurant of the same name. We were apparently wrong about the connection but the meal was enjoyable enough. I did find the tandoori chicken and chaat quite spicy for my palette and needed to request some yoghurt which wasn’t the easiest thing to do given the lack of attentiveness from the staff. Fortunately I managed to procure some before catching fire and I found the butter chicken far more manageable heat wise
Would give 0 stars if there was a option. Very bad service. Ordered tonight and received we thick naan, uncooked, smells bad. The Manchurian weren’t delicious at all, only tastes like soy sauce . Dal makhni looks horrible and all I can eat is curry leaves. Please improve you quality. I can send you the screenshot of the receipt and order?? Please don’t lie and have guts to accept and improve the quality.
It's a luxurious and next level Indian restaurant in Geelong CBD. We went there to celebrate my brother's success and we were fortunate enough to meet the owner Mr. Ashwini. It was such an amazing experience as being a vegetarian I wanted to try Malai Kofta but wasn't sure how it would be because whatever places I've tried earlier in Victoria, it never matches the Indian taste of Malai Kofta. Mr. Ashwini personally served us such tempting food and provided us Malai Kofta as a complimentary dish. We also ordered Kadhai Paneer and Kadhai Chicken with a few naan breads. My friends personally loved the Chicken 65 that we ordered as an entrée. Thank you sir and to the team of Shiraaz. It's been a great end to a hectic week. You made my brother's success special! Thank you. Srish.
I have visited this restaurant yesterday evening for Dinner with my family but the food was really bad as we ordered entree first which was full tandoori chicken. When it came, super dry. Chicken was undercooked as it’s taste was completely weird. We preferred to have our dinner from different restaurant after getting unfriendly service from Shiraaz restaurant. Would never recommend this restaurant.
Nice restaurant, with a good menu and classic Indian food. The atmosphere was good, the service kind.Food: 4/5
