Culinary gem in Geelong. Accommodated our booking of 4 at the last minute. Every meal order was spot on. The mushroom ravioli was devine! The fish of the day was fantastic and the schnitzel very well received. Also did not take ages for the food to come out. Well done!!
My boys loved their first time dinning at Black Sheep. Celebrated my son's birthday, they will definitely go back! I've been a few times and look forward to going back again soon. The meals, desserts and cocktails are to die for, and excellent service. Perfection!!!!

Loved the food, drinks and venue/atmosphere. Service was a bit lacking once it got busy, really needed someone just to clear tables and take drink orders. Other than that highly recommend, especially for gun lovers. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to get into the restaurant
Had dinner at 7.30pm on Saturday night. We booked a week in advance on OpenTable. Firstly the atmosphere is just beautiful. Love the light against the brick wall - it gives such a rustic and authentic feel. We ordered and the food came out very fast in 15-20 minutes. I found the portions to be quite small but it wasn’t a big deal as we ordered more food. The calamari and prawn entrees were cooked perfectly and delicious. The sweet potato fries were really amazing and definitely the best I’ve had. The pork hock was also tender, juicy and the skin was so crispy however the sauce that went with it was lacklustre. It was too thin for my liking and in my opinion needed to be reduced a bit more to get a thicker/ more viscous sauce. All the dishes were good however could be elevated even further with better sauces. For example the schnitzel was good but instead of serving it with spicy aioli it could be served with a delicious brown gravy. Just my opinion. For dessert we had the spice chai panacotta with poached pear and lemon tart. Panacotta was not bad, I could tell they used agar agar instead of gelatin to make it vegetarian so it wasn’t quite as “bouncy” as the traditional panacotta. The rum poached pear on the side was really great though, it was the highlight of the dish. The lemon tart was also not too bad, love that for both desserts you could have the option of having ice cream on the side. I found that it was understaffed for a Saturday night but it didn’t take away from the atmosphere as staff tried their best and were so polite and friendly. Overall we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely be back! Highly recommend.
Great Service & Great vibe! We had a delightful experience; from the friendly, helpful and attentive front and waiting staff, the experience of a Gin Paddle and an interesting building. We only had drinks there but will return again soon for dinner!... and more Gin :
Fantastic gin bar and restaurant. We popped in for drink and a snack while waiting for a mate. Fantastic service from the wait staff and very knowledgeable with advising and suggestions for the gin paddle we chose. Cosy environment and great place for all occasions. Thanks for having us
Everything is perfect! Amazing food, comfortable seating, relaxing environment and staff who smile easily and show they love their job.
We were happy to see they offered to prepare vegan versions of quite a few of their vegetarian options. We went for two vegan Pizzas. They came out pretty quickly and tasted quite good, were rather small-sized, though. Unfortunately, they charged 4$ extra per Pizza for the vegan cheese. This was neither stated on the menu nor mentioned by the staff. Other than that the staff was very attentive and friendly and we liked the atmosphere.
Had a great night at the Black Sheep. A big thank you to Sarah, she was amazing! We didn’t have a reservation but fit us in and made sure we were taken care of all night. The place had a DJ playing music and had a great vibe. Sarah was constantly attentive and was very knowledgeable when it came to the menu. Would definitely recommend visiting.
