They have good quality items here. It's honestly the only store I know that sells anime and manga this well. I'm just disappointed that they don't get new or lesser known titles often. Where's bloom into you? Bungo stray dogs? I'm also really disappointed with customer service. I wanted to check something out before I bought it and the cashier stared me down like I was some kind of weirdo. I didn't end up buying it because it was a little dirty and she practically hissed at me. I also think this specific cashier didn't know the store's inventory very well as when I asked for the item I wanted they asked me if such a title even existed. But all the other people there are nice. They do everything well.
Love this shop. A perfect shop for people interested in anime. They have all things starting from anime collectables to video games and manga. The friendly staff members are always there if you have any question, be it the date of new merchandise arrival or a question regarding one of the collectables. Their website is also helpful in viewing the merchandise that will arrive or have arrived but not displayed.
I'm a regular customer of theirs and they almost always have something that pushes me to an impulse purchase! Their customer service workers are absolute sweethearts as well, they even let me add my preferred name to my membership!
I’ve bought so many amazing things from here! Amazing staff, little hidden gem! I only wish it was a little bigger so I could see more awesome stuff from Japan
signed up too be a Shin Tokyo member, was promised a membership card in the mail, It never turned up , when i rang the store i was promised i could pick it up instore next time i was there. Surprise there is no record of my membership when i went back to the store, Seriously what a waste of my time and just bad customer service all round will not shop here again!
Ah I see, you are a fellow weeb as well. This store got a lot of high quality figures, plushies, cards, mangas, idk anything weeb related you name it. Plus very friendly and helpful staff. I'll definitely come back to buy more when I cut down my food money enough.
Today 2/9/22 I went to Skin Tokyo around 1915 to buy a blind box. There were only two sanrio blind boxes in the cabinet at that time. Then I asked the female staff wear spec, ?short hair if I could have the box on the right. She took the box on the left and said that these are blind boxes and don't know what's inside. I replied her that I understood about this, and politely asking if it’s possible that can I get the box on the right. She continued rolled her eyes at the box on the right and kept mumbling. My partner and I both vaguely heard she said something like “all blind boxes are the same and why keep on picking”. To be honest, in other countries, at least the ones I have visited like Japan, Singapore or South Korea, and customers are allowed to choose blind boxes because it is all up to “our luck” ? Isn't this the joy of buying a blind box? I wish to apologize if this request is unreasonable in Shin Tokyo. But I sincerely hope this staff doesn't roll her eyes and mumble in front of customer since this customer service is quite rude.
Love the place, the games, collectables etc. great staff. just wish it wasn’t so expensive <3
The Rundle Mall has the best place for me to buy some games! The variety of games, layout, and atmosphere is the best I've seen or felt at a store! 9 of the 10 Switch games I bought on October 27 21 came from what I feel is my favourite place ever, that includes that LIMITED RUN Timespinner! It is the reason I come to Adelaide with my family. Fun place to cut your account in fractions to with mostly reasonably priced games, anime and or manga assissted and managed by polite stuff, go there at least ONCE. Can't wait to come here again next time! Caeden
my gf tried to buy a OP statue today and got questioned if she even liked one piece and proceeds to try and say it wasnt in stock and offers her the cheaper option and when asking one of the other staff they said there was plenty of that type in stock. i dont know what her problem was but it was super weird and uncomfortable
