Beautiful old building, lots and lots of books and places to sit. An actual experience more than just a quick place to grab a book, a lovely environment to browse the eclectic aisles, read recommendations and find a couple of beautiful books to purchase and take home. Not the cheapest prices but an experience worth paying a little more for!
Beautiful building indeed. Once upon a time cinema now the home of this lovely book store. Worth a visit when in Rundle Mall.
Love the new location of Dymocks, beautiful space - can access via escalator from Rundle Mall or lift access from the Regent Arcade. Are the staff like librarians? They are most helpful and definitely know their books! Also has a great gifts section and kids books section. The store has little corners that you can sit and immerse yourself in a good paperback or whatever genre of books you’re into.
Called for a diary I needed for the shop. Andrew who assisted me over the phone was so amazing. His knowledge and help was informative. I then went over to pick up the diary.. Andrew assisted me once again and the amazing service continued. Other that it is has amazing architecture and the vibe is so welcoming, Andrew's customer service was up and beyond. Thank you Andrew.
I love Dymocks! There’s always a great selection of books across different genres and prices to cater to whatever you want to read that day. The staff is friendly and helpful. Also, bonus points for the cute knick knacks you can buy there as gifts for loved ones especially those who like bookish things!
Huge collection of books, arranged very systematically in clearly labelled genres and interest. Almost every section has enough variety for true book lovers. Environment is quiet and exudes a peaceful feel. Staff are really helpful if you can't find a book.
It's really great!! the building is so old and pretty, with furniture to match, but with these wooden arch things to give it a modern touch!! the people who work here are very nice and helpful, and there is a large selection of books!! There are also other things to buy as gifts such as rubik's cubes as well as things like planners and diaries!! You can also buy wrapping paper, and there is a chance they have the option of wrapping the books/etc for you but i don't remember as i havent used it. also, there is an elevator for wheelchair access etc, and also an escalator. there are also some areas to sit couches, etc which is nice!! i personally once found that all of them were already sat in by other people but the floor is comfy enough too. overall really great!!

Loved it - so well set out. Has elevator access through Regent Arcade if you have a pram or in a wheelchair. Lovely helpful staff are there to assist if you cannot find your book & will even order it in if no stock instore.
