There are so many reviews for this spot that adding one feels unnecessary. But I spent such a wonderful afternoon here on a sunny Winter's day that I'm going to add my voice to the crowds. It is such a gorgeous place to explore, to fungi hunt at the right times of year - after there's been a bit of rain, or to stop for a picnic. There are a couple of tables, and the occasional bench, but mostly there are beautiful trails, trees including some giant ones, birds, and a whole lot of nature.nIt's a popular spot. Parking can be interesting. There are a few places to park, and they can fill quickly. The dirt/gravel spot near the intersection of Sherbrooke Lodge Rd and Sherbrooke Rd is handy. The parking at the exact place where O'Donohue Picnic Ground is marked is also pretty good. It's also worth noting that at both those parking spots there are toilets. I will say Sherbrooke Falls wasn't all that impressive, but the general beauty of the area more than makes up for it.
A stunning part of the world. Some nice walks in the area. Pick a short walk or join a few together and enjoy a longer walk.
Great hike with different options of length. The Picnic ground is is a beautiful area with many tables to enjoy your tea/breakfast, and has toilet facilities that are always well taken care off. Not far from the road with an easy access and carparks. Can get busy on weekends after mid-morning, but it's usually pretty quiet.
No doubt a very good place. Tree ferns are spectacular. Lot of Cucktoos and other birds are there. Good place for bird watchers. It's a matter of pity visitors are feeding the birds even after prohibition. Forest authority should be more careful.
It’s beautiful, lots of colourful birds. It’s not allow the feed the birds, but watch out, it’s the kookaburra which power fly down to fetch your food. Protect your picnic.
