We are open 7 days a week from July to October. Pick your own is for the month of September weather permitting.

Story

Shaylee Strawberries is located on the Atherton Tablelands ( 700 meters above Sea level) between Atherton and the historic Township of Yungaburra.
Shaylee’s rich red volcanic soil and temperate weather conditions are just right for the cultivation of large succulent strawberries. These are at their best during the tourist season, July to November.
Our crossroads location on the Gillies Highway (the major tourist route through the Cairns Hinterland) makes us easy for the tourists to find. Shaylee was established in 1985 and specialises in supplying the North Queensland catering industry. Only the choicest fruit are grown and harvested only when fully ripe. We sell only the highest grade fruit which are… Simply Irresistable.

Amazing, sorbets and gelato are homemade, the lady at the counter today was lovely and welcoming as well. When it’s the season, you can see the strawberry farm. Perfect place to visit
Amazing! The best strawberry gelato I've ever had in my life!! Highly recommend their gelato & sorbet Sandwiches are delicious as well : Very clean and welcoming Cafe to stop by if you drive pass the area.
Good place to stop, of one likes strawberries. Strawberries can be brought in different sized punnet, which were enjoyable. Also other items such as icecreams and even jams can be brought from here. Plenty of chairs and tables available on site with a view of strawberry fields outside. Friendly service. A worthwhile place to stop.
What a beautiful experience at 9.30 am, a week day.. Bit early for lunch so we adored their strawberry gelato soft serve. By far the best we have ever tasted.. Would take the short drive out of Atherton just for a gelato!! Gardens and surrounds a beautiful display plus an amazing well stocked lunch bar and restaurant.. A hidden gem.. Thank you. We will definitely be back..
Stopped to have some gelato. Delicious. The strawberry gelato only comes as a soft serve. I had cappuccino and strawberry. Yummy. Lovely clean toilets. A busy cafe.
The newly renovated cafe is a great addition to this local attraction which showcases the local strawberry produce. There are new parking spaces and a brand new cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. There are some small strawberry fields visible from the cafe and you can of course enjoy their produce too.
Very touristy but a fun stop if you're passing by. They have great strawberry soft serve ice cream - also some cute jewelry and jams for sale.

Strawberry farm with it all! Field of strawberries Cafe, the tattooed sailor coffee. Lunch foods and sweets available as well as the most fluffy and soft gelato and ice cream selections. Picking your own strawberries is seasonal and Facebook “Shaylee Strawberries” page provides a simple way to know if this is on. Cafe has aircon amd wheelchair access. Family amenities like highchairs and booths to sit in. People felt very welcome Thank you to the wonderful covid safe and farm knowledgeable staff that made our visit a delight. If you can’t stop for long… grab a take away coffee and soft ice cream, and be on your way with take home ice cream or jam Thank you for a awesome first visit Shaylee strawberries! We will be back soon.
New Cafe looks absolutely awesome with same old friendly service and gr8 tasting gelatos and sorbets....
