The Access Place is a local cafe and community centre in Atherton which seeks to connect with people from the local region.

Story

We are about Coffee, Community and Care.

By Coffee... we mean hospitality in the very best sense of the word. A place where you can get good coffee and cake but more than that, a place where feel like you belong. A home away from home. A place where you can come for 3 mins or 3 hours and hopefully someone will remember your name.

By Community... we mean a place where the community of Atherton can come together. Where people can find each other, not just find us. Atherton has many great community and church groups and together they form the answers for most of what the people of Atherton need. We don’t have all of the answers for people but the community does and so we want to be a place where we can actively link people together.

By Care... we mean that we are interested in helping the whole person. Physically, socially, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. If we stumble across people who need help in any of these areas then we are up for a conversation about how we can help.
