I have been here 3 times now. Have ordered eggs Benny each time. First time, eggs were hard. 2nd time with my son, eggs were amazing, son had pancakes and they were also amazing. 3rd time with my husband, eggs were hard again. He ordered poached eggs and they were hard too also baked beans were weird. The wait was about 45 mins, felt way too long but didn’t help I was actually very hungry. I will come back, fingers crossed for runny eggs.
I couldn't complain with this place as a quick roadside breaky, we returned for 5 mornings straight. There is a great variety of options to satisfy your early morning hunger needs in FNQ and coffee served with a smile.nMy only reccomendation is to get a toilet on site, caffeine in the morning gets the body going. Thats all I need to say.

Drop in for a quick takeaway coffee while mum was ED and ended up buying a halloumi sandwich for us. The food was great the staff were lovely. Highly recommend this cute little cafe.
We really enjoy coming to the Whistle Stop Cafe. The staff are really friendly and the food is lovely. They have an exciting new menu and I'm sure that the quality of the food will live up to the expectation. The decor is very relaxing and pleasant and, although there is quite a lot of passing traffic noise, if you're inside it is still reasonably quiet. We also like it because it is not in the centre of town.
