Best Indian food in Pakenham and even beyond.  Had a beautiful date night here. Despite of being busy for Father’s Day, the staff were super friendly and attentive.  We ordered Tandoori Lamb Cutlets and Garlic Chicken Tikka for entrée. It was sizzling when served and mouth watering. Lamb Korma and Butter Chicken with Raita and saffron rice for main. We asked for mild, and they listened unlike many other Indian restaurants. All dishes were aromatic and heavenly.  For dessert, we got Pistachio Kulfi and Mango Lassi. Dreamy finish for an Indian night out.  Outstanding experience. Can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely come back. Would love to see if they add Dosa to their menu.

Aside from the food taking a Ridiculously long time to arrive and got delivered to our table cold. the service was great and food was amazing! We ate in and it was a fairly quiet night so we where expecting to get our food a little quicker but quality does take time. The restaurant was very loud and we had to basically scream across the table for conversation but overall okay experience!

When we ordered we thought it's bit expensive, but the portion size is big compared to other Indian restaurants. And taste is very good. Definitely I will go next time.Food: 5/5

Shavans never dissapoints. Been going there for years. What a great family run business, they should be proud. Always a great atmosphere friendly staff and exceptional meals. Have also been to a few event nights, which were always really fun. If you love Indian food, you have to visit shavans.Food: 5/5

Omg! I ordered this for my dinner and ohhhh wow! I ordered tandoori lamb cutlets 5 cuts to be exact how generous isn’t it? The flavour is unexpectedly delicious  yes I know it sounds like I’m over reacting but it really does, with flavoured basmati rice. Not to mention the yogurt . I ate it by itself.  yum! Another thing, the rice is overflowing, I love my rice   . I would love to visit their restaurant and taste all their food. I ordered lamb cutlets because I haven’t had this before. And this is my first time to taste Shavans’ food. You can choose the spicy level of your food which is a big thumbs up for people who doesn’t like too hot. I would love to make a review again once I visit their restaurant.

A very good authentic Indian restaurant At Pakenham. Superb Taste and lightening fast service. I was looking for a Indian Restaurant on my way back from Penguin parade to Melbourne. Google suggested me Shavan@ Pakenham. But I believed Google”s review and took a chance. But it was more than my expectations.

Your food is good. 1 less star because there is a  little less variety in paneer dishes compared to other indian restaurants in Pakenham. Portion size is good, staff is good, ambience is good

Ordered the butter chicken, omg!!!!!! Spicy spicy spicy!!!!!!!! It never ever used to be like that, I could not even eat it so a total waste of my money as I had to throw it out. the butter chicken used to be enjoyable to eat but not anymore... absolute disappointment.

We have been loyal customers of Shavans for the 5 years we have lived in the area, but post-Covid the total price of our regular order has leapt up by $15, which only includes 1 meat dish. This seems very excessive, especially in the context of prices hiking up absolutely everywhere without anyone's wages increasing to match, placing financial strain on families. This means our weekly take away here is now a rare treat, as we don't feel this level of increase is at all justified. Our last meal was heavily spiced, which seemed unusual and we wondered if it was done intentionally to mask flavour, as the following day we were both a little unwell in the stomach. We won't return any time soon, unfortunately.

DO NOT AND I MEAN NOT waste your time or money on this restaurant. I am a Officer local and gave this restaurant 3 opportunities to prove me wrong but each time was worse than the last.  Avoid this place and go somewhere else please !
