Great restaurant nestled in a quiet spot of the cbd! The staff are super lovely and are attentive and always accommodating for any requests you might have. The menu is fantastic and great to share with a group of friends. Highlight for me were the chicken skewers which had a delicious charred skin and unbeatable crispness. I thought the triple cooked chips would have had a bit more crunch to them however they were a bit soft. Everything else was delicious and well portioned.
Delicious food, the service was originally quite cold, after we ordered the wine & a lot of food they finally warmed up, otherwise I wasn't very happy at the beginning. The lamb rib for starters, the chicken, fish, beef mains were all delicious, wasn't a fan of the mushroom pastry & the fish tartare. The dessert platter was good, but only the baklava & carrot cake was nice, the rest were a bit too sweet.
My second time here.. Food is absolutely amazing.. Unique super tasty and always fresh. Service is prompt and on point. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant.. A fantastic dining experience to be had for all your special celebrations. Highly recommend
Absolutely delicious food and the service was great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. My one criticism is the amount of carrots in the serving for $14... definitely could have been at least 2 carrots vs one haha. But overall I definitely think this is a place I would come back to. Definitely recommend. The baklava was to die for also!
Yummy as!!!! Went because of a recommendation from my housemate - we had our end of year Christmas dinner there. Super affordable I think it was $75 a head? - lots of great dishes, pretty much everything tasted good. Only downside was there was a hair in one of our dishes but I mean, it happens, so definitely not holding it against the restaurant.
Wow. Top 3 meals Ive had all year - we had the five course and let me tell you - COME WITH AN EMPTY STOMACH! trust me it will be so worth it! It was a journey. Every single thing we had was PERFECT and so flavourful. Great service and vibes. Cannot wait to return again.
Dined here tonight. What can I say. The total package from what you would expect from a high end restaurant. Service was amazing!!!! The food matched perfectly too the wine, well, that was just the cherry on top. Amazing home recipe dishes bursting with amazing flavors to take you on a journey of Lebanon. Was such an experience having wines from Lebanon as well. Never knew they made wines with such interesting complexity and body. We had the 4 course meal, and my my my portion size was very generous and flavors on point EVERY SINGLE TIME! Hummus like i have never had, broccoli was unbelievable. Lamb ribs were sooooo juicy and melt in your mouth amazing. Then dinner was chicken for the main, absolutely devine, as was the pumpkin. The baklava woooow, what a taste sensation. Was the highlight meal of our trip. Was amazing also having the owner there servicing our table and telling us his story of journey of how he started out. Incredible experience. Such a hidden little gem in this amazing place of Melbourne. PS. If you get the hummus with browned butter. Try it's as it is and then mix the brown butter through and watch the flavours change. It's incredible!!!
Did the pre theatre menu and we did the math and it wasn’t good value, all the stuff they served came to a dollar LESS than if we’d ordered from the menu normally. Also charged us for four pillars gin when partner asked for another that was cheaper. Some of the food was delicious, like the baklava, but others were a miss too much char on the chicken, tasted burnt. Pretty restaurant, but food didn’t inspire, and overcharging left a bad taste in my mouth. Or maybe it was the burnt skewers.
Underwhelming experience. It wasn't due to the food, which was pleasant enough- particularly the melt in your mouth lamb shoulder and flavourful ribs - but rather due to the ambiance and unpolished service. The former was ruined by rowdy upstairs patron, which during our visit was obnoxiously loud. The latter was peculiarly pushy, where they seemed determined to push for orders and refills of cocktails and drinks to the point where they wanted to snatch unfinished drinks. Interesting place, but not necessarily in a good way.
Every single item we ate was an absolute flavour bomb. The menu is curated so well that the only thing I could do was applaud the chefs who made it happen. Definitely will be going back.
