Seasons on Ruthven Restaurant & Wine Bar offers modern Australian cuisine with a global flavour in beautiful Toowoomba, Queensland.

Story

Our experienced and talented chefs produce an innovative and delicious seasonal menu offering something for everyone from dining for business travellers to birthday parties and weddings.

We pride ourselves on sourcing the finest produce and meats including free range pork, chicken and eggs. We cater for various dietary requirements including vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy intolerant.

SEASONS on Ruthven has a warm and relaxed atmosphere with a touch of elegance. Recently renovated, we've kept the old-world charm of our heritage building and transformed it into a contemporary, upbeat and comfortable space.

Our new lounge area is a great place to 'meet and greet' or you can enjoy a pre-dinner drink at the bar. the new floor to ceiling windows give spectacular garden views over a buffet breakfast.

Went for valentines for their special three course menu. Most of the food was nice but I made the mistake of getting the salmon also available on the main menu on other days. The salmon itself was very over cooked that it was dry and flavourless. I don't usually leave food on my plate but I couldn't even eat half of it. It was very difficult to get the attention of the wait staff at any point, was never asked how was the meal during or when the plates were collected. My husband mentioned that I didn't enjoy my meal and both times they only said they'll tell the chef but was not apologised to. After spending almost $150 for two people, I left hungry and my husband and I were very disappointed. We definitely won't be back.

2nd visit in 12 months was certainly better than first. All round opinion from 4 diners of mains was "very good" by comparison in Twmba. Deserts OK. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Wine markup reasonable. Service prompt and efficient albiet on a quiet night.

Poor food, poor service, food was warm. Served only lamb cut into 4 squares with 1 artichoke with smearing of sauce. no veggies no sides. Chicken breast was 1/4 piece chicken with no sides nd smearing of sauce. For $50 pp was a complete waste of money. Can had to wait 30 minutes for Ice cream. Chn fish nd chips 17.50 each. Drinks very expensive.

I'm pretty sure I have never left a google review on anything before. This was terrible. The entree was... adequate at best (tuna carpaccio). Edible. Mediocre. The main however was terrible. I had the $42 wagyu rump (medium rare) with peppercorn sauce, came with brocolini, potato pieces and red wine jus. The steak came out rare at most, and burnt (definitely not just charred), no peppercorn sauce, the brocolini was uncooked on the thick stalk part, the potato pieces were cooked to oblivion - just literally inedible - basically leather, and the jus was tasted like they mixed port flavour jelly with pan juices. Also had beer battered chips with lime aioli I think it was supposed to be. At lest these were edible I suppose. The staff were nice I suppose but didn't once ask if I enjoyed anything, even when a good portion of my food was left on the plate. Waaaaaay too overpriced for the experience. So disappointing.

Awesome Service, Awesome Food, lovely atmosphere. We had a large family gathering for my Mum's birthday last Saturday night & I can not say enough good things about this restaurant. The staff where very friendly and the food was amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Big thumbs up.
