I recently stayed at the Scamander Beach Resort and it was an incredible experience. One of the highlights was waking up to the perfect sunrise visible right from the front windows. The view of the sun rising over the ocean was breathtaking and provided a serene start to each day. The resort itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our stay was pleasant. The location is ideal, offering easy access to the beach and nearby attractions. Overall, Scamander Beach Resort is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Tasmania. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience a peaceful and picturesque getaway.
Rooms are outdated, bar announces that its open till late, when in fact it shuts at 9. Meals are mediocre at the best, if you get your meal at all. As we ordered our meal and were told it would be about an hr wait. But we never recieved it at all as one of the bar staff had cancelled it for some unknown reason. So we went to bed hungry that night as there was nothing open and the kitchen was closed at this point. Was not a very good experience, but the other holiday makers were amazing and we had a great time together, they made our trip worthwhile.
We’ve been here twice in two nights for dinners. Service was 5 star better than most restaurants in Hobart. The second night the waitress remembered our drinks and asked if she could arrange the same ones for us. Super friendly. Fabulous range of local drinks and cheaper drinks too. Great atmosphere. The food is really good quality fresh pub food. All the classics are there. The grilled Morwong was a highlight. Cooked perfectly. Crispy skin. Simple and healthy. The lasagne on the specials was cooked better than I make at home. Would return next time we’re in town. Thanks for a great experience team!
Have only arrived but service from reception was very friendly and complete. The views from our room is immaculate. Room is comfortable and clean. Looking forward to a great weekend in this beautiful place with our motorcycle riding friends. Rooms: Found a pedistool fan in our room which helped circulate the the warm air. Was comfortable in there after that. Walkability: Right accross from the beach and a small Cafe across the road ,great coffee. Food & drinks: Bar downstairs. No driving just right underneath the accomodation as well.
The accommodation was adequately priced and clean except the carpet, that was disgusting. The other facilities of the resort were great. Pool was not heated but hit the spot on a hot day, park was great. A short stroll from the beach. The restaurant was fantastic. The service from a red headed woman was the best i have ever recieved, so accommodating for us and our young children. I would stay again, i wish the rooms were abit bigger though. The restaurant was very good. I would recommend going for a meal, and the staff were lovely. But, the hotel room was terrible. The room was a box. We had people next to us up all night, still at it at 4am on a Tuesday, smoking weed and on the cans. Usually, I wouldn't blame the hotel for this, but it appeared these weren't guests but rather tenants living at the hotel. The rooms have sliding doors that do not have a lock or any mechanism to close them except for a small latch hook. Didn't feel we could leave anything in the room without fear it'd be at a pawn shop the next day. If you need a room at last minute and you aren't picky, its fine for a night.
The worst place I have been stayed in my life. No hot water for bath, no proper soap supplied, shampoo and conditioner and body wash are 3 in one, can’t sleep well with noise sounds, toilet suits’s button are broken, food are plain and over price, the noodles are firmly. Don’t stay if you have any other choices, you also have to bring heavy stuffs up to stairs cause the elevator is broken all the time.
Room was old and run down, no soap supplied for the shower, meal from restaurant was over priced and plain. This place gets good reviews because the customers get free wine for doing so! The pics of website is not the room we staying in! Rooms: Poor
Rooms are nice and tidy, great views, nice and friendly staff. Location is close to everything, 5-10 mins drive or a bit longer if you want to visit Binalong bay. This is our second time and definitely will be back.
This is an older style hotel and some people may not like that. However is ideally located and for those with young children well suited. There is a tennis court play ground and swimming pool Our room over looks the beach and is lovely it is the first bed which is firm enough for us. The food in the restaurant is very good for dinner else had locally caught fish the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a cafe across the road for proper coffee. If there were to be any addition I would like a Nespresso machine.
