There were some wonderful moments at the Sawyers Arms, & some not so wonderful.nMy husband & I had not been here, so on reading the reviews we decided to book in.nnThe service from the 2 young staff members was just perfect.nMy husband ordered the calamari, main size, & I ordered the Parma. We shared mynnot-so-hot chips I love hot chips. The Parma was a decent size, so I shared that too.nnI think it was the noise in the area where we were seated that really made our night less than a pleasant experience.nOur waiter was more than happy to move us to a quieter area to finish our drinks.

Good selection, including lunch specials.  The food is generally good with good portions. Nice warm place with firewood to keep the place comfortable.

I had dinner with my daughter on Wednesday evening at Sawyers Arms Tavern . It was such a lovely experience, food, decor and service great. I had the lamb cutlets honestly best I have ever had and my daughter had kids fish and chips. Food portions were generous, quality food, staff were professional and friendly.. .We enjoyed it so much, I have already booked for December when family are coming for Xmas. Moved to Geelong 2 years ago from Sydney and this place is definately a new favourite.

First ever time going there & had booked lunch with clients who live around the area. The service was great, with very attentive staff! Everyone in our booking loved their steaks & the oysters got demolished pretty quickly beforehand. Will definitely look to come back here next time I am in Geelong.
