This little cake shop packs a bunch! The most favourite one of mine is the taro cake. I tried the lychee one last time and it was too sweet for my liking. They have limited stock sometimes as they made fresh so better call and place an order for your special occasion so you won’t be disappointed when they said it sold out. Cards surcharges applied and staff is okay not too friendly sometimes.
Cakes are nice . Place is clean. Staff has a touch of attitude but it’s maybe a cultural difference, she doesn’t intend to be unfriendly surely… This place is definitely a spot to check out !
Savoy 20years ago was so amazing. Now adays it's almost like going to the Asian version of woolies bakery to get Ur cake. This quay street one is still the best out of all the other shops tho. It's ok. But tastes commercialised and just lots of cream. Very little flavor. Service is friendly however they speak very little english and the pricing is still fair compared to many places.
Savoy Bakery does well portioned fresh tasting breads and bakery in a very clean environment. Located in The Prince Centre near Paddy’s Market, the Pineapple cakes are perfect with tea or coffee! A Great way to bring friends or family fresh bakery when visiting.
The cake taro was good but the service from one older lady was horrible. My friend and I went to pickup a cake for her birthday so already paid for and everything but when she said her name, the lady straight away just said no. I don’t know if it’s because of the language barrier she seemed totally fine serving me though or just downright racism but she seemed outright blunt with not wanting to serve my friend. The writing on her cake wasn’t done well so we went back to ask for cutlery so we could scrape it off somewhere else but the same lady using the same attitude just said no. Maybe they don’t offer cutlery or a knife or anything like that but what type of cake shop doesn’t ??
Whether it's to celebrate someone's special time or trying to convince people to try an Asian cake, look no further. As it's not overly sweet and has a good ratio of cream and sponge, mums and kids can definitely enjoy this treat. ⁣ ⁣ There's Taro, Lychee and Strawberry flavours so there's lots to try! Most likely available at the store for last minute cake ⁣
Reasonable price and decent taste. 2 suggestions: hope the pastry chef has better handwriting in Chinese so the words on the cake look better, and secondly is that the cream is shouldnt be so much thicker than cake.
The most delicious cakes for the greatest value! Loved the girls that worked there as well, very helpful in assisting my choose the cake. Bought the cake on the day without pre-ordering, also gave me the option to pick up the cake later, before they closed. The cake is nice, fresh and delicious, loved this fruit cake, also tried many other sweets from their store! Their taro cake is my favourite, as I love taro and they make it so nice. Not too sweet and very light. Will definitely go back, and highly recommend.
A cake shop that has a hint of western cakes & a hint of Asian, the style is a bit Japanese & a bit Taiwanese, resulting in super light sponge/swiss rolls, crispy flakey pastries wrapped around sweet fillings and egg rolls & cookies. The swiss rolls are nice & light and not overly sweet as are the flakey pastry bites which was super flakey. Some of the items like egg roll & the mini crisps/cookies are a bit too eggy tasting for my liking but are nice also. The birthday cakes all look good & sounds delicious.
It looks old-fashion we are four person share one 6 inch cake and we can not finish it coz not delicious enough....and no tableware providedthe service in general
