Delicious authentic Malaysian Chinese food! Friendly service and cozy atmosphere. It’s our first time visiting the restaurant and we love every dish that we ordered. We went for a birthday celebration. The owner was so kind to keep the cake that we brought in their fridge and took it out after we finished our meal. They even played birthday song in the restaurant and other customers were also happily celebrating with us! What a pleasant surprise! Our group of 12 all had a lovely night and we all agreed that we will be going back to try more delicious food there.
Food was tasty and you get a decent amount for the price. The decor is quite cool and is a nice cosy place to have a bite to eat. We had to flag staff down to take our order even though there was only 3 other tables in the restaurant so I think customer service could be improved. Overall, would recommend giving this place a try.
Cosy little place with authentic food, highly recommended. It was just a friend and I eating, but the menu looked so good we ordered a few dishes. The steamed perch with ginger and shallots, hot plate tofu, Hainan chicken rice and combination hor-fun flat noodles in egg sauce, asked for the home made sambal belacan and fresh cut red chilli to go with it. Not dishes that normally go with each other, but it was all delicious. One of the business owners, Raymond, was very friendly too, and so were all the staff working there. Worth the drive over from the north side, and will be back again! Thanks!
Place serves quality seafood and not overly salty which suits me just right! Serves big variety of authentic Malaysian food too. Highly recommended:
Really good food! The pecking duck was the best I have had for years. The corn soup was amazing just like the Mongolian beef. And the fried ice cream too. Everything is perfect! And taste amazing Thank you
We have visited this restaurant 3 times now, it’s become one of my favourite hidden gems! Great service, delicious food and we always leave feeling so happy and satisfied. Very authentic Malaysian food! Yum I love the roti and curry option! Thankyou
Bland curries, low grade meat, burnt roti bread. **Beef Rendang: Tough hard Beef definitely not slow cooked as it should be. No complexity in the curry, very bland. $24 rip off rice is extra **Chicken Laksa: Rubbery cheap flavourless chicken, 2 green beans, 2 pieces of egg plant, average flavour in soup. **Roti Canai: Cheap frozen roti from Coles freezer, and served burnt! We won't ever come back here. Nasty nasty.
Another quality meal from the lazy chef. Ordered ginger shallot fish, but all I could see was the incredible amount of onions. And very few shallots or fish. Chilli was not provided even when asked. That’s 2 times in a row. I feel like when the lovely owners are not their the staff get lazy and sloppy.
What a disappointment after finally trying this place out. Expensive Nasi Lemak at $19, especially with flavorless curry, dry chicken, three small tough pieces of beef and bland salted anchovies and peanuts. The laksa also didn’t impress us as the broth lacked aromatic flavours. It wasn’t rich or fragrant, missing so much complexity, we felt we were given a very salted coconut broth mixed with a dull supermarket-bought laksa paste. But at least service was prompt.
Excellent service with amazing food! Went with my family for dinner on a Sunday night, the place was packed but with this the service was the best I have had in a long time. All staff members were attentive and just generally pleasant which made the whole experience that much better. The food came out very quickly and was amazing, we thought we may have ordered too much, but it was very easy to keep grazing. Will definitely be coming back and I know this will become one of regular places for a night out with the family.
