Satay Ria Malaysian Chinese Restaurant Cannon Hill

We've had this food only once before and it was quite delicious. We ordered the Beef Roti curry.. The beef was so tender in the curry and the sauce was very tasty. Sadly we had it last night and we were extremely disappointed. This time we got the Chicken Roti curry. Thigh meat was used instead of breast (for the price breast should be used not thigh). The meat was not filleted properly, so there was small shards of bone and quite a lot of small knuckle pieces, nor was the meat tender, which normally thigh meat is. The sauce was tasteless and very runny. Totally different meal to last time. Such a shame as I'd be scared to try it again :(

Excellent food and customer service! I broke a glass there and they workers came to clean immediately. Friendly atmosphere and ambience was great! Highly recommended!

We are regular customer of Satay Ria. When we first went to the restaurant in Fortitude Valley we received a warm welcome from their staff. The boss did a good customer relationship and chat with every customers when their not too busy. Although it is not authentic Malaysian food (that is because I fussy with my Malaysian food) but the food and service are always good. I will recommend this restaurant if you looking for some Asian food for dinner.

Seriously tasty and affordable. Always great service when dining in, and the food arguably tastes even better take-away. Nasi Goreng, Char Kway Teow and Nasi Lemak are all winners.

Takeaway portion size was very poor. Only filled 2 out of 3 containers to about half way. Phoned the restaurant to let them know only to be told that that is the size. They offered 30 per cent off next meal but no replacement meal. I won’t be back as this is the second time this has happened. That’s what you get for trying to support a local Busniess and giving them a second chance.
