Whilst the sushi is adequate, the fact that the owners blatantly have no regard for Australian consumer law is quite concerning. I have tried to help this small business, as a small business operator myself, by explaining the new ACCC anti excessive credit card surcharge laws. These changes mean that businesses can only charge 1-1.5% surcharge for Visa/MasterCard and 3% for American Express. Like a lot of people, I don’t carry a lot of cash and to have to pay 10% credit card surcharge (50c) on two pieces of sushi is just ridiculous. I politely tried many times to explain the changes however all that was returned were unwelcome looks from the owner. I even had a 10c coin thrown in front of me as the owner was trying to bargain down the surcharge. It’s not an issue of money for me, it’s more the principle. Operating a small business is not easy, but we have laws to provide a level playing field and to give a good customer experience. Unfortunately I will not go back to this sushi bar due to the systematic disregard for Australian Consumer protection law.

Everything made to order with fresh food! 👌 Eel Bento and soft shell crab rolls are my favourite dishes, everytime I go I also order a side of takoyakis. Highly recommend this little sushi bar!!! 👍
