Sails on the bay
"With an absolute beachfront location and flawless views across Port Phillip Bay, Elwood Bathers is a truly special place.A stylish and calming interior reflects a coastal ambiance and complements our menu featuring fresh, locally sourced, classic bistro cuisine.Conveniently located a short drive from Melbourne’s CBD, just minutes from St Kilda and with plentiful parking, Elwood Bathers is one of Melbourne’s best located waterfront venues. You’ll feel like you’re on holidays as you stare out at the boats or the sun dipping below the horizon. It’s the perfect romantic setting for two but equally enjoyable for large groups of people who love the bliss of the beach."

Nice beachfront view. Staff were pleasant. The puttanesca & fish & chips were almost the same price, but the serving sizes largely differed. Fish & chips was good value for money.
HONEST review : came for dinner with my partner tonight, pretty restaurant for a date. Don’t get me wrong, overall the vibes are lovely, the setting of being on the beach and being able to see the water and sand is great, dim lighting, etc. I enjoyed it. The man who looked after us was smiling the whole time and he was attentive.nOnly one minor problem, this is on the expensive side of the scale for what you get. The Frutti Di Mare was $56 the option of “large” vs. the smaller option both mains however which is $46. I understand seafood and well, everything in general these days is more expensive than it used to be, but honestly, most restaurants will serve you the same portion size, with the same amount of seafood inside your linguini but for less of a price. Advice if you’re choosing between the small or large options: if you want your belly satisfied go with the large 1000% I’m a petite 5’1 girl and I still had room for dessert after! That’s the only downside though, oh and maybe also when I walked out I said thank you to one of the girls, the waitress at the exit and she didn’t even reply back, and no one else was around, she definitely saw us walking out—but that’s alright anyway our waiter was awesome. Moving on to better things, the duck pappardelle was good! The dessert was DELICIOUS and was the highlight. I can’t remember the exact name but it was chocolate salted caramel dessert in the photo No doubt it was insanely yummy!! I inhaled it like a vacuum. The atmosphere is stunning. Overall, I’ll be back in the future.
Really loved eating at Elwood Bathers!nI actually entered the restaurant thinking it was a coffee shop blind I know!nAnyway the service was excellent! I wasn’t too hungry at first but after the super fresh oysters and the Tuna tartare sliders, I decided to get the grilled King Prawns! Omg the whole thing was so good! Can still taste the Tuna tartare and the cream or mayonnaise so so so good!nAnd the ricotta cake! I really didn’t expect this much flavours! Un delice!nI was about to forget the mocktail! If you don’t drink alcohol the Pineapple Lemonade is sublime. The whole thing was accompanied by a beautiful beach view and French jazz, perfect!
Just got some coffee.nIts ok, the atmosphere is really good.nnWaitress is nice to us.nAllow to walk to the beach.
Could not recommend this venue more. Very last minute I arranged my mother’s celebration of life to be held here. The staff went above and beyond to ensure all the details were perfect. They were organised, empathetic and prompt. The venue itself is stunning and the food was delicious! All guests were commenting on the lovely food and venue. A big thank you to Ryan, Mia and Peter and all over staff who assisted. A hard day for our family was made so much better by a beautiful a seamless celebration!
