We went on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy however the menu looked inviting. 2 of the party had Salmon with Rocket/Parmesan salad along with Chat potatoes and I had a Medium rare 300g Sirloin Steak . Both meals were cooked exactly to our preferences. The Salmon was juicy and full of flavour, my Steak was also Juicy and had the right amount of char on it . We had a Pint of Tiger Beer and Vodka Soda. The service was OK, nothing over the top . We enjoyed the meal and sat outside under the large awnings keeping the sun off us. Prices were reasonable with both meals costing $36 . I'd give it another try at night to see if it is any different.
I was looking forward to an exquisite evening for our wedding anniversary. We were welcomed by the staff who seemed to have difficulties finding our bookings. The food was well prepared and tasty. I think that what we expérienced could be an effect of the Covid19 outbreak. The staff with exception of two servers, were either inexperienced or not very well trained. As the restaurant boasted with so many accolades, I would urged the owner to save what he can. The food was very tasty. I take my hat off to the chef.
Excellent service starting with a friendly welcome and timely requests for drinks. Food was great quality and ideal quantity. Live music added to the relaxing ambience. A very positive experience.Food: 5/5
Just had a lovely evening at this restaurant. The staff are attentive and friendly. I mentioned I needed gluten free food and they suggested that I could pick what I wanted and they would speak to the chef, they genuinely seemed interesting helping me find a meal that I could eat. The steaks were cooked as requested. Food came out in a timely manner. Had a lovely chat with the Polish waitress with pink / purple hair. Would recommend to friends and family.
We had an amazing time with my sister at the restaurant. The girl called Kinga made us very welcoming and she gave us the best service ever. The food was amazing too
We were looking for a restaurant that accepted dogs as our dining companions were travelling & had a labradoodle with them. This restaurant was very welcoming & happy for us to bring the dog along. They even brought out some water for the dog on arrival. So, great selection of drinks available & the food was fantastic & reasonably priced!!! I hadn't seen my nephew for over 6yrs & was meeting his finance for the first time as well as them meeting my wife for the first time so it was a special catch up for us all. Your staff were a credit to the restaurant, so friendly & inviting & the service was great!!! I am a local & work in the hospitality industry for a major company on the Gold Coast as a Concierge & I'll be recommending your restaurant to as many people as possible! Thanks again for your amazing hospitality & food & for making our evening one to remember. Keep accepting dogs into your restaurant, absolutely fantastic!!!! Thanks again from a very happy local who will continue coming back & send patronage your way!!!
Prawn & Chorizo Pasta. The dish is flavourful, quite oily, but very nice and decent portion.Food: 5/5
We had a wonderful evening at Sage. The food was Excellent and came in a timely manner. Service was perfect even though they were quite busy. Big range of cocktails and drinks, which were also very nice. I would recommend Sage very highly.
This is the review I didn't want to write because I went to Yellowfin years ago and it was incredible. Unfortunately that is not the case now. If you look through my other reviews I do a lot you will see I reviewed the old Yellowfin 3 years ago and gave them 5 stars. We had the hot and cold seafod platter for 2 to share on Sat night, we booked fairly early and it was before they got busy so that can't explain what went wrong. The good: 1 Staff were attentive and polite. 2 Cold prawns were lovely but it's pretty hard to mess those up. 3 Scallops were awesome and cooked to perfection. 4 The baby octopus was some of the best i have had. 5 Apparently the oysters were nice, I am not an oyster fan myself but my dinner guest assured me they were nice. The bad: 1 We saw in review photos on here before that there were chips with the hot portion of the platter, we got none and when we asked about it were told we have to order them seperate. 2 The Blue Swimmer Crab, the meat was really dry, it was quite strange and I have never experienced this from Blue Swimmer before, not sure how that even happens. 3 The Lobster, I paid 60 bucks for half a lobster and we left over half of the serve because it was quite frankly the WORST lobster I have EVER had and I have had a lot, it was so tough it was like chewing a leather shoe, it actually had a mouth feel of a tough overcooked sinnuey steak. Considering it was $160 for a sub standard platter then another $60 for an extremely awful half lobster, I won't be going back and I won't be reccomending Yellowfin to anyone. This really is a shame because the old Yellowfin was one of my favourite seafood restaurants in the area but this is simply not that.
High quality service and delicious food. Husband and I had a hot seafood plate and everything was cooked perfectly - absolutely recommend this place if you are a seafood lover : I even liked oysters killpatrick even though I normally eat natural ones. I will definitely be back.
