Rydges Camperdown

Very disappointed, first thing when we entered the room it was smelly, small kitchenette/bar area was damaged, coffee cups and cutlery were not cleaned properly. Our rooms air conditioner was not working for which complaint twice but nothing done. Only good points are beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff was really nice.

We stayed on the 6 th floor. Doors were chipped and damaged. Had to slam them to close them. Room smelt wet and musty, possible mould in carpet. Coffee and tea wasn't refreshed in 3 days. Food at breakfast was bland and expensive. Staff were great, can't fault the staff. Beds were super comfy. Very handy to Sydney Uni.

Dated ordinary looking establishment surrounded by concrete and ugly buildings. Jovial gatherings of smokers who must presumably be banned from the grounds of the hotel frequently provide passers-by with more exercise by blocking the footpath. The small turning space at the entry to the hotel is frequently used by large buses whose slow manoeuvring also often blocks the footpath. Extremely noisy location due to proximity of Parramatta Road, traffic lights, constant car horns as well as ambulances using sirens to access nearby rpa hospital. Descending rescue helicopters also frequently pass low on approach to the hospital. Overall perhaps the worst location for a hotel imaginable but it seems to do good business, surprisingly.

This hotel is desperately in need of refurbishing. The bathroom, furniture and fittings are very old. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet so I had a good sleep. The location is convenient to the university. Not good value for money.

Good location, very close to RPA. Decor of hotel a little dated, but room itself was a good standard and service was great.
