AMAZING PEOPLE AND HOSTEL! My family and I spent there 3 nights and it was perfect! The hostel is located in the center and it is huge, furnished with all thinks that you may need! The room was the best! Clean, big, and a bed super comfortable! The staff is very friendly! There is a very good bar/restaurant just next door with cheap price and very good food! In particular, THANK YOU KATIE, you make our stay perfect! Hope coming back soon!

Pretty good back packers. Comfortable. Be sure to take your own towel otherwise Coles is open late. Can be noisy as it is built above a nightclub. Great location. Staff friendly, but not sure about the app required to check in.

I stayed here in April for 5 nights. Location is great and you can go to spots (like Hyde Park, Opera House) just by walking. However, music of the bar is too loud, every night I feel windows shake with the rhythm of music (Maybe it's because I was at 1st level, I don't know whether is better at upper levels). Kitchen is a little messy, sometime we can not find what we want to use (like forks, spoons). Overall, I would like give 3.5 stars for Base.

First time in a hostel. Clean which is good didn't really know what to expect. Or if it is but from hearing other people's experiences. Base Sydney is a good hostel to stay in. :)

Party atmosphere if you're into that. The staff were responsive when I brought to their attention a messy washroom. Mens washrooms only have 2 urinals, 3 stalls and 3 showers per floor so it can get busy in the morning/evening. Location is excellent, literally a couple blocks from Darling harbour, Central station and Chinatown. Laundry, tv room, full kitchen, lounge on site with bar/restaurant next door.
