Our local Mernda-line railway station. Easy to access, but rather basic facilities compared to the very close Keon Park and Reservoir Stations. Limited parking means that the other stations are better choices.
Probably the worst train station the world has ever seen. There's no screen with trains time or any information whatsoever. Just a tiny area is covered so expect to jump on the train wet when it's raining. It's Melbourne baby, they don't improve infrastructures here.
My local train station! When i moved to this part of Reservoir 13 years ago, it was in the local newspaper that some feral girl tried to rob a passenger at the station, by threatening the victim with a used tampon. Since then, security has been upgraded with more cameras, safety zones and an emergency help button. The car park has always been inadequate and people used to clog my Street with their cars until the council stepped in. As population increases, car parking at stations will always be an issue.
Poor lighting at night, dirt car park needs serious amount of work as there are massive ditches and potholes that are very dangerous in the dark. No toilet amenities and little cover in winter and summer. Shows that the government don't care about small stations past reservoir
Despite its good placement, there is only one way to enter/exit and that's the steep ramp at the northern end, which is unfriendly towards wheelchairs. There are no toilets and inadequate shelter durring the summer and winter I went on an 18°C day. Poor light at night from first impression and only one myki machine. Also feels small in the only barely sheltered seated area.nNote, that there are also no PIDs so you have to rely on your phone or a dial up box which barely works. It's a shame its outdated visually compared to the upgraded Reservoir station only 1km down south from here.
