I had a wonderful experience with Rutherford & Bond, Eze and Hannah were both extremely professional and helpful. Took the time to help me with pre purchase inspections, helped with any issues I had. I was buying from the other end of the north island and they worked with me around collection flying down with my toddler and finance from afar. Highly recommend the team here.
1-Star Review – Poorly Managed ServicennMy experience today at Rutherford & Bond was extremely disappointing. The service report on my Ford Ranger was confusing, poorly itemised, and even listed work that wasn’t actually done — which they only corrected after I challenged it. That alone raises serious concerns about honesty.nnWhen I asked to speak with a mechanic, one of the office ladies questioned why I wanted to speak to him, which I found rude and disrespectful. Then she came outside and stood there during my conversation with the mechanic, even though I didn’t ask her to. The whole situation felt defensive and secretive rather than open and helpful, as though something was being hidden from me.nnThey also listed several “essential” repairs that felt more like an attempt to upsell than genuine concern for my vehicle. As someone who is not a mechanic, I rely on honesty — but I did not feel that here today.nnThis isn’t an isolated incident. My daughter also had a negative experience earlier this year when servicing her Suzuki. After today, I have completely lost trust in their service and customer care.
Staff are always friendly and very accommodating. They have really comfortable chairs for you to wait, offer cups of coffee/tea.nHad to wait at the shop while they replaced my front 2 tyres.nAlways feel road safe when I leave after a service/WOF etc..nThey gave me these cute little ‘Thank you’ treats for being patient during the tyre replacements.nThank you Toyota Rutherford and Bond, Porirua.

I had fantastic customer service at Rutherford and Bond Porirua. I bought a vehicle from Gavin who was knowledgeable and helpful. Hannah was also helpful with organising the insurance and finance.nThey made the process easy - nothing was too much trouble. Very happy with my new car and will be back for any future purchases.
