"Here at Auckland Rugby League we govern, grow and support the sport of rugby league in the Auckland Region of New Zealand encompassing club, school, and representative league.Auckland played unofficial representative Rugby League in 1908 before an organisational body was officially formed on July 19 in 1909 at the Chamber of Commerce on Swanson Street after players had met a week earlier on July 12.The playing grounds & building are based on the Northern Side of Cornwall Park and at the back of Auckland Showgrounds. The field border the south side of St Cuthbert's College. These facilities are utilised for Auckland Rugby League Fixtures including representative matches, 9's tournaments as well as trials and exhibition matches."
