We came here for Sunday lunch carvery and came away thoroughly impressed. The staff were friendly a special mention to Carol, and the food was excellent. They don't skimp on the meat offering as other carvery places do. The meat wasn't dry, and the vegetables were fresh and flavoursome. Very happy with the price and would recommend this venue for a carvery to anyone. We all look forward to returning.
Stayed at The Bridge House a few times now, always very pleasant. Rooms are modern & clean, beds very comfortable. The view from the back of the hotel is lovely , looking out on the river watching the swans. This occasion we stayed in a superior room which had a comfortable sitting area with plenty of room. On arrival we had complimentary wine, water & biscuits. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of choice. Definitely recommend this as a lovely relaxing place to stay & would say it’s worthy of being a 4 star hotel.
Well run hotel. Great location. Handy for town, coast and country. Breakfast good. Well stocked bar. Well equipped clean rooms some with river views. Pity about guests who don't know how to behave ie noisy, slamming doors both in sleeping areas. Same all world over.Rooms: 4/5
Our friend Mr. Walter booked a table this afternoon for lunch. This was the first time we have been and the whole meal was a delight. The waitress Jasmine had a lovely sense of humour and was very friendly. We will definitely be going again and are looking forward to it already.
The room was fine, as expected for its star rating. I had to walk through a function room feeling like an invader to get to and from it. Reception staff all seemed pretty miserable and unhappy , the restaurant and bar staff were better with the exception of a few. I thought it would be a serene setting, it wasn't. It's on a main road, as was my room. The serenity that I thought I would experience was a fallacy. The pictures looked better than the reality. Overall it was noisy and unwelcoming, mostly due to the staff!
Not stayed here, just been for breakfast. First time we went there was alot more choice. Second time the buffet was mostly empty on the hot food front. Over heard staff encouraging not to put more out as it was getting close to shut down. Appreciate they have to shut, but you shouldn't have to pay full price for the end of run items.
As a business traveller this was perfect for an overnight stay. Clean room and bedding, comfortable bed and a shower that works. I was in room 113 which is a small double close to reception and the restaurant and bar, yet still very quiet for a great night's sleep.Rooms: 5/5
Wonderful Carvery. Complete revamp, looking ultra mod, but a little too dark in places. Food as always good value for money. Unfortunately service was very slow....
One night stay for work purposes. First impressions where fantastic. Friendly staff, great quality food. Lovely clean and comfortable room. Will definitely return if I need to stay area again.
Very nice carvery I had, my partner had a nut roast with vegetables etc, that was also very good. Nice ambience have not been there for many years, will make sure we go back soon.Service: 5/5
