FOUL RECEPTIONIST!!!!nThe old chubby white lady, short hair an wears glasses that does reception, Needs to find another job!!nThis lady made our emergency rush into AE with our poor baby an absolute nightmare!nInstead of getting help for our baby, She profiled my partner an called the police. She trolled us the entire time being there as well as police.nShe was smiling at us while we were in tears trying to comfort our baby.nShe refused to leave us alone, She laughed at us when we told she was making our situation worse.nPolice noticed what was going on an realized we weren't the problem, it was the lack of help from staff an this receptionist purposely trying to insight an altercation with my partner to get her way an have him arrested.nEnd results, Police apologized to us an told us to make a complaint an if we wanted to make any charges against her for harassment.nShe shouldn't be at the head of the hospital, She never smiles or makes u feel welcome. We've heard several negative stories about this same lady, An now we had to experience it ourselves.nDISGUSTING!
I had an urgent referral from my GP, to see the head of surgery because I was in sepsis shock.. I was treated really well by the ladies in ED, and the amazing Triage nurse, and all the amazing indian staff present that day. Then met with head of surgery, who explained my upcoming surgical process. As I was being prepared for surgery. I was confronted by 2 young surgical assistants, that came and spouted a touch of racial abuse at me, telling me to get out of there. Stop wasting everyone's time. Basically they said, we didn't get these huge students loans ..to help people like me. this was before she read my file and saw that I was referred there. Once they saw this referral they disappeared. I haven't received any such abuse here in Rot hospital before. In my 48+years we celebrated this service. I understood what they really wanted to say. But it all came out wrong.. But as I did what they wanted, and slowly left the hospital. I can totally understand their perspective. They are tired of helping those, who aren't helping themselves. Or hungry for meds.. They have these huge student loans, crazy hours, low wages and low budgets and regularly.. very very difficult people to deal with. I think it's sad that this place has slipped.. I still want to thank all of your hardworking staff, for all the sacrifices.. you make in your lives.. to try fix our live's.. and you aren't thanked or celebrated enough.. for being the heroes you all are. Thank you all for doing your best.
If I could give a Zero I would! ,Absolutely the worst people skills I’ve ever seen! No respect for the family members of their patients. If your a patient you get treated poorly the medical team are so impatient and lack empathy and if your a family member you get treated worse you are considered a nuisance just for breathing if you have a choice to be admitted into a different hospital take the chance because you will be treated poorly and your family worse. Absolutely Heartbreaking
Pretty bad service overall, first off came here to find out what's going on with some ta moko I got recently since they're not healing well and all they want to do is deal with my calf. Long wait times to get seen. And to top it off the food is not the best and the portions are super small therefore not filling at all, not only that. The fact the nurses don't let you have a good night sleep since they'd rather check patients blood pressure and temperature than let patients have a good night sleep. Just ridiculous
Brought my 7month old grand daughter in here at 1.30am high temp vomiting and almost convulsing seen the nurse who gave her ibuprofen which helped a lot waiting in triage for 3 hours another lady walks in with a toddler in her pram playing on her iPad she coughed twice during her 10mins of waiting in triage and is seen straight away I ended up leaving an hour after that 5.10am and take the baby to the Dr, I’ve been in here myself afew months ago which at the time I was living in Auckland, I wasn’t well at all the Dr assures I’m just needing somewhere to sleep for the night, after they do some tests I leave untreated, go back to Auckland afew days later and turns out I have sepsis caused by a big old angry tooth which was removed and my health restored immediately. This place is filthy with the worst staff behind triage, just go to Hamilton this place is a waste of your time and health
