Very poor customer service no acknowledgement when my order was sitting there going cold until I asked them straight away they were defensive. The gravy is very thin and watery now before it was good and the chip portion size is definitely getting smaller. After my last visit there I won’t be going back they have lost me as a customer
Popped in to the Rosehedge Chippery today and was greeted by friendly staff. Ordered the new menu item, Chicken Snitz, Chips and Gravy, along with a pumpkin fritter and was not disappointed. The snitz and chips were cooked to perfection and the pumpkin fritter, oh my I have never tasted anything like it, was a so delish, I wish I had ordered more. Will definitely be back.

Reminds me of home NZL, hands down! I thought I’ll try something different and ordered the American burger, shesssssh it was not a disappointment! The meat was juicy, American cheese amazing, sauce was great, pickles was delissssh. Everything just went well!! Friendly & great service as always :
Store was empty. Still received Pre cooked chips. Pre cooked flake and potato cakes. The only thing that was good was the chips were hot. If the weather wasn’t terrible I’d go back and leave it at the front door Nothing like they used to be. Very disappointed. Will never go back No where near the quality of the fish and chip shops in Caroline springs.
Made a phone order. I was told 15 mins, waited 50. Chips were ready 30 mins before burger. When I expressed to the store manager that I was unhappy that the chips were sitting there for a while and that they were cold I ripped open the package and tried one while paying, her response was “oh well”. When I got home, chips, potato cakes and fried dim sims were all undercooked, soggy and cold. Burger was slapped together and fell apart after two bites. Very disappointed with the quality of food and poor customer service.
Hands down the best fish & chips/eatery I’ve tasted in Melbourne! Something about the chips, fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the out. Would highly recommend a scoop or 3 of their hot chips with any order lol. I’ve always ordered the slovakia wrap too, that tzatziki sauce is second to none! I would give it a 10 star if I could, pricing is fair and vibrant environment overall. See you guys soon
Grew up loving rose hedge chippery, their food & service was amazing. Until they change owners. We continued to enjoy ordering from them but it could never resemble the passion of the ones who started the business. They continuously miss items & when we call them to tell them that we need to drive back to pick it up their is never even an apology. Just last week our chips were DRENCHED in chicken salt we could not even eat it, it was sickening. However, we knew there wasn’t a point in telling them as they don’t care it’s also happened before. This new business is not about family, food and passion, it’s just about money and you can taste it.
