Absolutely beautiful park in the centre of town with many grand old trees and gorgeous gardens. Immaculately maintained, a credit to the city. Be sure to visit the lovely old conservatory. And be warned - avoid lingering too long under the resident colony of fruit bats.
Beautiful, calm, and quiet place for a family day out. Just go for a few hours or spend a full day, you won't get bored. Well maintained garden, however, you'll still feel the nature. We heard the bats and saw them hanging on the trees. We also saw a few lorikeet families on the tree hollows. Nice playground for little ones and long walking trails for the big ones.nThere are public toilets and plenty of food options nearby. So find a sunny day and take your picnic mat with some That's all you'll need for a healthy and happy day. Highly recommended.
A really nice park with cool scenic walk ways.nWhile walking through, you should defs check out the art gallery, the observation tower you can walk up to see a wonderful view the whole 360° view of Bendigo and a brisk walk to the Golden Dragon Museum on the east side.nnTho the bridge that goes over the Bendigo creek had a nasty smell of toilet sewage that lingered while walking over the bridge which was unpleasant.
Beautiful place to be.. love the greenery and flowers around.. nice paths for a stroll.. good for picnic or just a relaxing and peaceful time..it has a kids playground too.. enjoy your visits.. cheers
Beautiful park right in the middle of Bendigo city centre. There are many birds and noisy bats in the park. The place is good for walking/jogging but the steep terrain in some places could make it more challenging. Thanks.
