Highly recommended = Reviews are important to any small business, and even though Roof Rack & Towbar World where $100 more than another quote, that business had a few negative reviews so i went here instead with all their positive reviews. I also reached out to another company and they too, recommended RR&TW over other said company with negative reviews, so validated my decision. Having said that my car manufacturer was going to charge $900 for a tow-bar and $680 to install it, when i questioned how many hours is this figure came from they said they'd get back to me and never did. RR&TW = Great quality work, very impressed with the whole customer journey and final delivery. They called me 1 hour before completion so i could make my way to pick up my car and they even installed a switch to cancel my rear sensors for when i am towing. When arriving just make sure you turn left up the up-ramp as per their image on their website. Thanks RR&TW you gained another repeat customer with me and I will refer happily :
A great shopping experience. Needed some racks for a surf ski - they had heaps of options in stock, took a lot of time to explain how each one worked, checked my car to make sure they would fit, explained how best to secure the ski to the roof and went through the box to make sure everything was included and I knew how to use it. How to secure safely for local streets, driving at higher speeds on freeways, etc. They were really passionate about racks and great service!
Paul and his team run an awesome shop that demonstrates why it's so important to have local community minded businesses. I came in looking for some roof racks for a 1993 Peugeot. Not only was Paul and his team able to fit the racks. They were able to donate them to us as we are taking part in a charity car rally. I will definitely be going back in the future when I need to get some racks on a car and would highly recommend visiting the shop!
I was hoping this would be a good service. I had used this company with my last car about 4-5 years ago to install a roof rack then the side steps, and it went fine. Today, I was asking for a quote to install a roof rack and a drawer system. Originally, they only quoted 4 hrs labour and slightly inflated price for parts. When I changed to own-supplied roof rack I shared how much it was going to cost me if I sourced some parts on my own, suddenly the labour hours increased by +2hrs and the bill +$320, which was roughly +30% on the original roof rack quote. It felt that the Roof Rack World Alex tried to scam me and then try to convince their 30% higher-than-the-market price is worth paying, because of their service quality... Normally, I block scammers on my phone after realising they want to steal from me. In my opinion you should block Roof Racks & Towbar World as well. Always ask multiple places for a quote and block/ignore businesses and people who try to take advantage of you. Will never consider going back to this place. There are so many more reasonable options out there. Just do your research and shop around. I took my business elsewhere and it should save me between $500-$700
A quality business. I’ve brought our previous and current car here for roof racks. Also purchased a bike carrier. Always a smooth fast fitting and competitive price makes me a happy and loyal customer
Bought a new cargo carrier here recently. David who assisted me was really great in helping me choose the right size and make carrier. Managed to try two different colour boxes right out of the packaging just to see which one looks nicer. I would definitely recommend them.
My partner and I found the lads super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We went in over the Xmas season and it was visibly very busy for them but with in a day they were able to accomodate my request and instal a rhino platform and backbone system. They worked really well with me in trying to deliver the best result for my situation texting me photos & and on site putting different platforms on for us to see so no guess work as my Ute is set up for touring and I have a roof top tent over hanging the cab of my car. We dealt with Alex but all the the fellas at the shop seemed super friendly. Very easy and positive experience !
I have had three cars fitted with roof racks here now, everytime it has been a good experience. Ordered and booked the fitting, when I arrived the racks had been prepped and were ready to be installed. Thanks all once again for an easy and stress free sale and fitment!
Not gonna lie I was offered some free installation of my solar panels which was done tickety-boo but it wasn’t cheap. When I then through a spanner in the works by bumping up my booking a day early only a few days before I could smell the frustration because now they were double booked. When I picked it up late that same day some the lads were still hard at it including the boss who might’ve been having a late one and wasn’t in the mood for any discounting that may or may not have slipped his mind but the young bloke in the office played mediator and all was quickly and satisfactorily sorted out. They asked me to write a good review and happily I think I have. If your as demanding and/or disorganized as me then give ‘em a go.
Went to get some extra keys for roof racks and was promptly greeted by Daniel and just moments later I left with keys in my hand. Have used the business prior and have always had a good experience.
