Story

The Robin Hood Hotel is the newest family destination in Ballarat. It has been recently renovated to provide all the customers the best experience. It’s delicious food and modern bistro set up is well-known in the area.

The Robin Hood is a family friendly venue and has a complete Kids Playground to keep the little ones occupied.

We just improved the bar area to allocate new stool tables and it is now working as an entertainment area for the younger crowd.

We have weeknight specials, member’s night and sport and entertainment on weekends, there is always something for everyone down at The Robin Hood

The Bar is modern and charming. It is the perfect spot to enjoy your favourite beer on tap or just chat away with friends or try your luck in our TAB. Chef can't cook a steak for the life of him, asked for a med to well cooked, instructed the Waiter I'd like it pink but not bloody! First time come out well done with cold chips. Second time come out well done but manage to get hot chips, not ideal that one person was now left without a main meal for the night because a qualified chef can't cook a $40 steak!! You were also heavy handed on the salad dressing that you couldn't even eat that without getting a cringe of vintage taste. After so much trouble a refund was given for that meal and a comp dessert was give. A main meal to eat would have been nice
My wife and I called in for a bite to eat. Unfortunately it was half an hour before the kitchen officially opened. The staff were very accommodating and said that they would open the kitchen specially for us. After looking at the menu we chose the waffles - they were yummy and reasonably priced. Can recommend
Love the wide range of Parma options but the place was so busy that it took over an hour for our food to arrive, which meant the kids had a late night. Some of our meals weren’t very warm either, probably waiting until the whole table was ready. Staff were nice though.
We came early on a Thursday night, managed to score 2 Parmas for $30, and they were huge portions and nicely cooked, as were the flake and chips. Lovely staff, quick service. Kids enjoyed the playground.
The massive range of Parma options is a bit of a gimmick. Especially when you can't cook the basic component of the Parma properly: the schnitzel. My schnitzel was soggy on the top and burnt on the bottom. The cheese isnt melted. Honestly there are so many better options in Ballarat, don't be fooled by the gimmick of a carbonara parma
Came for the pokies and decided to eat. The pookies room is small but most of the new machines are here. The staff are friendly and attentive, choice of 33 parmas is good, the parmas themselves were well cooked but nothing special when it came to taste. The chips were good and side of onion rings also.
What an enjoyable meal, absolutely went above and beyond to accommodate my menu restrictions. Ordered a steak sandwich with no bread and veg instead of chips.. Yum yum yum..
Best S&P squid lunch meal best in town highly recommended this place staff is extremely friendly and helpful the experience was truly amazing. - definitely coming back drinks and food are fair price

Looking through the 33 different parmas on offer was impressive, but I headed straight to the surf and turf. The place was packed at 6:30 so a 50 minute wait was probably to be expected. Thursday night is a Buy one Parma and and get another for $5, which is great value and hence the busy night. On to the meal, the chicken parma itself was of average size, well cooked and tender on the inside. The crumb was crunchy and golden and still reasonably hot. The surf and turf consisted of 4 prawns cooked well, in a creamy sauce. Then comes the salad which sadly, was very lack lustre and drier than my chips, lacking any dressing. The tide was out on that one for sure.The salad consisted of mixed leaves, some finely cut carrot and a small dodgy bit of tomato, with barely any cucumber or red onion on my serve at least. It was difficult to enjoy....sorry. The chips were also on the tail end, they were the wide cut variety with a light crumb coating, but lacking seasoning and crunch. Staff seemed nice, even though they were under the pump. I have no doubt on a quieter night the meal would would have been of a better standard with more attention to detail and i do plan to return to try another parma in their in the range.
