The best most delicious most awesome most amazing fish and chips I've ever had in my life the customer service is absolutely Off the rack you couldn't believe how good it is here I almost buy a house in Wonthaggi just to come and if you get this awesome fish and chip shop it's not just about the fish and chips that bacon and egg roll so do sausage roll they do so much for so good. Open from 6 a.m. till 8 p.m. you will not be let down amazing coffee as well.  The place is very pleasant idea made take a lot of parade in numbers season customer service and making people happy. We would definitely absolutely come back here again 100% the best ever.

Single meal deal. $10! Big portion. Potato cake is very crunchy, generous amount of ‘small’ size chips. Very friendly owners, shop is clean! Great place to stop by for a quick bite.

I recently ordered the butter chicken and lamb curry, and I must say, it was absolutely delicious.  The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the meat was tender and cooked to perfection. The spices used in the dishes were just right, not too overpowering but enough to add a wonderful depth of flavor

It’s IMPORTANT TO NOTE, THE BUSINESS SOLD ON OCTOBER 26, 2022.  So in order to ensure there is complete disclosure, it’s important that everyone is aware, that this Business has now got new owners since Oct 27 , 2022.  We want to thank ALL of the wonderful people that have supported us at Rob’s over the last 7.5 years. Your support has been absolutely incredible and we appreciate it!!  Thank you all so much. If you're expecting a fine dining experience then you've gone to the wrong place. HOWEVER if it's good, well prepared tucker of the take away variety then there's no better place to be. Friendly staff who are prepared to cook what you want in a clean and neat premises. Business seems to be mostly take away but there are table and chairs for dine in if you so desire. Don't expect any fine silverware, ; actually don't expect any cutlery at all we brought our own but it's the food you're there for.  We had burgers with the lot and struggled to finish them but we weren't leaving any behind. Best burgers we've ever had and we couldn't manage more than a few chips.  Highly recommended and we'll make this a must when in Wonthaggi.

Freshly made fish chips love the Indian food. Can’t believe Di&Cris using fake name Sarah Mitch gave the new owner bad review. Everyone knows that you. This town needs Indian food.

The staff are super friendly and they make some absolutely delicious food Nothing's ever to much of a hassle and they are always very happy to accommodate special requests and their specialty Indian cuisine night is to die for

I wouldn't feed my dog their food... Actually the burgers they dished out were disgusting.. I also found her quite arrogant and snaps your money and doesn't want to know you or your complaint. Money over customers preferred. Myself and my company graduates won't be darkening that door way again. You simply cannot explain bright colours to a blind man as I found that out while trying to deal with husband... and wife...they were at the back of the que when brains were handed out.

We’ve been going to Rob’s as a family ever since I’ve been a little kid. My parents have had a holiday house in Invy for 40 years , and so we always had our fish and chips at Rob’s.  Over the last few years , my partner and I have been going in there more regularly, and the fish and chips and burgers are the best we’ve ever had. The owners  Chris and Di, always greeted you with a smile and your first name. It’s such a nice touch!  So it was extremely sad in some way to find out last night, that we arrived for our regular feed of freshly cooked fish and chips, and a hamburger with the Lot, only to find that Rob’s now has changed hands! Chris and Di have always been really friendly and made great food, so we were hoping that the new owners, would be able to keep up the great work. The first thing we noticed was that the shop didn’t seem as clean as usual, and there wasn’t the usual friendly vibe.  Anyway, we decided to order our usual favourites of Flake, potato cakes, teriyaki nuggets and the hamburger with the lot.  Really sorry to say that the flake I got last night was oily and disgusting. It was not flake gummy, and was really chewy. It simply wasn’t flake! The teriyaki nuggets were just because they seemed to still be a bit frozen, and the most disappointing thing was the potato cakes!!! Chris was known for making the best potato cakes in the ‘world’ , because he made his own freshly cut and beautifully battered. Unfortunately, the new owners seem to have gone like most fish and chip shops these days, by giving us the pre-made frozen ones. They’re disgusting, and had we have known they were doing the frozen potato cakes, we would not have ordered them. They are just like eating cardboard!!  As for my partner’s Hamburger with the Lot, it was terrible. The first thing he noticed was he saw the lady make it with precooked bacon that was in a metal tray on the hot plate, and it tasted like that. The bacon was dry as, and the actual burger was very ordinary……..not made with any love! He ate about half and threw the rest out.  So, I’m sorry to say, that we will never be going back in there. Really disappointed in the new management and the quality of the fish and chips, and burgers. We know that all owners like to do things their own way, but when you’ve taken over one of the best fish and chip joints around, why would you change it up???!! Rob’s is an icon and I remember my parents going in there when it was Dutchies, and even when Neil had it. Rob’s was the best and the one thing I remember from my parents, was that Rob’s always cooked fresh , especially the potato cakes.  Sorry about the disappointing review, but I need to be honest. If our experience last night was a guide, Rob’s will never be the same.  Good luck to Chris and Di for finally getting out, they deserve it, but it seems like it’s bad luck for the rest of us.
