Stayed in a small room. Facilities were fine, the air con worked which was great. However our room had an inter connecting door to the room next door and it was like staying with a flatmate! We could hear EVERYTHING and I'm pretty they could hear everything too. So our room lacked privacy. It smelt like cigarettes and our balcony view was opposite the next apartment which meant there were over 50 people looking directly into our room so we had to keep the curtains closed the whole time. Overall it was disappointing. The 2 stars is for the great location and basic necessities. Your better off staying somewhere else for an extra $20.
I mean…it’s not the greatest but it’s really not that bad. You have to wonder why it’s less expensive than everything else in the area. I would love to say it should be even cheaper but I don’t know what their running costs are. We were only there for two nights & didn’t need to interact with the staff aside from checking in & out. Each time was quick & easy, the staff were polite. The ground room floor we had was very basic as expected. One of my pillow cases & the sheer curtains seemed a little stained but it otherwise seemed clean. Oh, aside from the churros left in the fridge by the previous guest. There’s a very unpleasant smell from the drain in the bathroom. We noticed that in other areas of the city around the river too so unsure if anything can be done about it. Unless you have super high standards, this hotel is just fine given it’s location. It was fantastic to be able to easily walk to Southbank or the city & honestly, I’d probably stay there again.
I stayed for a week for work in a one bedroom apartment with a washing machine. Room was clean and comfortable. It’s just a short walk to Southbank, the Convention Centre, restaurants, and many other popular tourist locations. Undercover, secure, and free parking was one of the main reasons I chose to stay here. I’ll definitely be back.
Comfortable and clean. What more do ya need. Just spent 2 nights here and really enjoyed it. Lovely young lady at breakfast reception and all you could eat. Ideal hotel for exploring Brisbane. Moving on today but will stay here again
Stayed for one night in a one bedroom apartment with our two little kids. Can’t complain for the price at all. Quiet, affordable and we asked for the sofa bed to be set up and a cot which both worked great for our baby’s. It really had all it needed, definitely no luxury hotel but for the prize and location it was great and a big bonus was the washing machine & dryer in the room!! Friendly staff and overall we had a great experience. Walking distance to South bank and underground parking. Would stay again.
Missed late check in due to flight delays. Les was a pleasure to deal with. Very informative and helpful after a long day. Thank you Les Room, facilities and location met all our needs for a quick stop over.Rooms: 5/5
It is a perfect spot to stay when spending time in the City. It is very handy to QPAC and the Museum. While the room was clean it was a bit tired. But for free parking and a delicious breakfast, it was well worth the visit.Rooms: 3/5
The location is great. Basic room. Small bathroom with not much space for your toiletries and nowhere to hang anything. Mould in shower recess. And don't use the spare blankets. I've never seen a more threadbare, disgusting blanket ever in a motel. Apart from this and the exorbitant price of $384.00 for a room with balcony, 1 queen and 1 single bed, compared to their usual, advertised price of $169.00, the room was quite adequate. But hey, Elton was in town and that appears to raise prices by more than 100%. Apart from these issues, the service was good. Staff, helpful. We were comfortable and chose to have the breakfast the next morning in the dining area. The woman serving us was efficient, hard working and very nice. If you're a vegetarian, there's not much in the hot breakfast department for you! At least some baked beans would be useful. There's an area you can smoke in if you are a smoker. Near the pool. And yes, there's a small pool. Undercover, under building free parking. I would stay again for its convenient location. Less than 1 km to Suncorp stadium. At least I'll be prepared for some of those 'issues.' Hopefully the price might normalise because for that room at $384.00, it wasn't worth it.
Great location with helpful staff. Rooms are tired, mattress was soft and saggy in the middle. The buffet breakfast would be amongst the worst I've ever had. Tired overcooked scrambled eggs, baked beans out of a can, dreadful sliced bread from the supermarket... Rooms: In need of a makeover. Hot water in basin dripped constantly, curtains broken and wouldn't close properly Walkability: Very close to QPAC and river walks. CBD also within walking distance Food & drinks: See above. Just simply awful
Riverside Hotel from 14/04 to 17/04/23 was best service and stay. The male & female Reception staff were professionals and kind, a male well dressed Reception Manager or team membersorry, did not get his name gave my 12 year old son a Easter gift, I thought that was a kind gesture on our check out, that gesture made a lasting awesome impression & experience on Australian people as a whole & I will recommend Riverside Hotel & staff to people I know back in my Country-PNG Papua New Guinea. The young Reception staff at Reception are well trained and need good recognition of their smart, kind & professional customer service skills. The room, all in all was nice and well maintained. Thank you Riverside Hotel Management & Staff.
