My experience with the nursing staff and a couple of doctors I've seen there has generally been perfectly fine, but I have an issue with whomever manages appointments. Today I arrived, checked in using the self-serve kiosk, sat and waited. After an hour or so of not seeing my doctor walking around I checked, to find that my appointment was cancelled because the doctor changed his schedule some weeks earlier. This has happened on at least 2 earlier occasions and I'm not a frequent flyer here - clearly they don't manage changes. The check-in kiosk should have raised an issue before I sat down rather than confirming my appointment. Don't bother ringing to check, you'll be on hold for 45 minutes.
I have been very happy with the doctors I have seen at this centre as they have listened properly to my health issues and actioned them to find results, which is fantastic. The 'one stop services' idea= doctor, dentist, chemist & X-ray services in one building is very helpful & easy to access. Great idea for sick people & the elderly. Unfortunately however I have found the reception staff at the doctors clinic to be quite unhelpful and at times, plain rude. They haven't been prepared to help sort out basic issues over the phone, they just suggest booking an appointment or using the walk in after hours option. They won't reveal if tests results are even back yet, saying only the doctors can access that information, however they then won't even ask the doctor to quickly look for you to check if they are back!! This system seems ridiculous, forcing you to make an appointment potentially for results that are not even available yet. It's just wasting appointments & may be a big cause as to why it's so hard to even get an appointment in the 1st place!! I feel the reception staff have hindered me from giving this centre & the doctors a 5 star rating.
This place has definitely become a lot better over the last couple of months. The reception ladies have been the best, their kindness and understanding especially when coming in with young children is great - colouring in and stickers. Transparency about wait times has improved eg. If the doctor is running behind. Allocation of afternoon walk in times being available reduces amount of people at the clinic waiting room.
There was a bit of a wait but Dr Aslam was awesome. Efficient, informative, caring and a great listener. We went to her for a second opinion after a doctor elsewhere dismissed my concerns for my toddler and I'm so glad we did! I would definitely recommend her.
I Attended the clinic tonight after my son cut his finger and I was so grateful to have such amazing nursing staff. Zoe was amazing with handling my little boy she kept him calm comfortable and had the most amazing care for him. My little boy walked away feeling a lot better thanks to Zoe.
First time using Riverlink Medical Centre. Found all staff very helpful. Nurses in the treatment room were amazing. Very caring, friendly and helpful. Doctor was great. Nothing was rushed and I liked that they listened. Reception staff were freindly. Waiting time was quite short. Will use again. Highly recommend.
Sick and had a phone consult with my doctor. Very experienced, dedicated and compassionate with extensive knowledge. Was able to send.an escript for me to provide to chemist and a medical certificate emailed for my employer. Very good service provided.
The biggest let down are the receptionist. To phone the centre I was hold for 22 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Then when I walked in there was no one lined up and I waited in front of the receptionist for 3 minutes before she acknowledged me and said I’ll be with u in a minute. They are rude and extremely unhelpful. They were giggle and talking amongst themselves while the phones are ringing which explains the long wait times. It’s pretty sad for the doctors when they are wonderful. I fell if u don’t like ur job or customer service move on.
Reception staff have been wonderful providing colouring in for the kids while waiting and helping me settle unwell children and then we were lucky to receive a call from the wonderful Tara to find out we had won the Christmas colouring competition! Have also felt heard and cared for by my Doctor and not rushed out the door. Thank you to all the staff at Riverlink Medical Centre
I have been going to R.M.D.C for a number of years and have been very happy with the service I have received, Dr Redoblado has always been friendly and attentive to my health issues and is always willing to help to find a resolve to any problems. The centre is open 7 days up to 8pm and they bulk bill which is very handy. The downside is that it is a very busy centre and the wait times can be a bit long at times and also there are times the phone doesn't get answered when you are calling to make an appointment. Other than those couple of issues very happy with the service i have received over the years.
