I'm so sick of waiting on the phone for 20+ mins to make a booking. This has happened every single time 5+ times I've rung Exact North Ipswich and Exact at the Uni. I don't have that kind of time during my work day to sit here on the phone trying to book in for my ultrasound. Unacceptable
The only reason I’m leaving 2 stars is because I had to go for an emergency ultrasound recently and Kelsey downstairs was absolutely wonderful. The reason this place is just terrible is because not once, but twice, we were told, and received the wrong date through text the first time, and nothing the second! When I called and booked in the appointments, I wrote them down, as people do. They were both for a Monday morning and due to being pendantic and OCD with making sure I had the correct day and time, I rang twice the week before to confirm once due to confusion from my mother too.. the girl I spoke to repeated what I had written down but when we arrived, we were told that we were 2 days early….. Not impressed! Wasn’t an error on our end because I showed the girl the text and the note in my phone.. So we rebooked for the next week, I rang twice to double check during that week, we arrived on the Monday morning and AGAIN were told WRONG DAY!!!!! Neither girl had very pleasant attitudes either and made it seem like we were somehow disturbing them by asking how this had happened.. I don’t know if the girls working there need glasses or if there’s a serious vendetta in your computer program against us personally, but we won’t be back again unless it’s emergency like it was for me last fortnight and the doctor couldn’t get me in anywhere else. Be grateful that you have Kelsey working in ultrasound downstairs for you. She is a delight! She is helpful and explains everything and makes you feel at ease. Thank you Kelsey for trying to bring a bit of humour into yet another horrible day in my life.
Tried to make an appointment and was on hold for 45 minutes before I just gave up. Terrible service. Rang IMED in Ipswich and a lovely lady answered the phone within a few minutes and booked an appointment.
Needed an appointment for a biopsy that costed $590, not bulk billing and this rude person on the phone was not kind enough to give me few seconds to think and she goes “Do you want me to book your appointment or what do you want me to do?” WHATS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?
Tried this morning after 10 minutes gave up ..trying again as I type this...If exact is so busy all the time perhaps they should consider more staff this is ridiculous ..happens all the time !!!! Looks like "imed " is truly better on so many levels...I'm done ..
It’s a great experience once you get in. But you MUST work on the booking and customer service. I always have to call again and again to book an appointment and I often give up after being on hold for half an hour. Sure during the floods and when you had staff away with Covid but now it just seems like you can’t be bothered to properly staff reception to man the phones. The other clinics around ipswich do not do this and it’s a headache .
Looks like the booking is a mess. First they called and booked for one day and when i called two days prior to appointment, they don't have any record for booking, I rebooked for another day. Surprisingly, i got text message a day prior to first booking. I am really confused. Front desk is kind of chaos and I am going to report to my doctor that they messed up my appointment. Also, I need to wait for 20 mins on phone each time before i reach out to front desk on phone.
The person booking my appointment was exceptional, the technician was OK, but the person on the front desk upstairs was unpleasant bordering on rude. I'll never understand medical reception staff who treat clients poorly. It's a customer service role!
Extremely disappointed with this branch of Exact Radiology. I have been suffering with sciatica for months now and my doctor decided I needed a nerve root injection to aid in the pain management to help with physio etc. I booked my referral in and in the initial stages all was going beautifully. Until 24 hours prior to the appointment WHICH WAS A CANCELLATION AND IT WAS THAT OR A 6-8 WEEK WAIT!. I received a call 24 hours prior to my appointment to confirm I was still coming. I immediately confirmed the appointment and all was well until a few hours later when I received a call from them basically saying “the radiologist has decided they’re not comfortable doing the procedure on you due to your age and getting that much radiation”. I was in shock. Not only does this doctor know absolutely nothing about me but there was no valid reason for him to refuse to do the procedure. There was no offer of a way around this or what could be done, just goodbye and good luck! I broke down in tears because this procedure was my last hope of being pain free. Thanks to my incredible partner who called them, they advised that if MY doctor called them the radiologist would be able to reconsider. ALL OF THIS WAS LESS THAN 18 HOURS PRIOR TO THE APPOINTMENT. Thankfully I have an incredible doctor who upon finding out, was absolutely appalled. He called them, sat on hold for half an hour waiting to finally be told that the radiologist had actually gone home. My doctor, who has been seeing me for years and knows my body, my medical history and my situation better than anyone should be the ONLY one deciding whether or not a procedure is right for me or not. Thankfully they were able to find a radiologist who would be willing to do the procedure TWO WEEKS LATER AT ANOTHER BRANCH. I cannot express how APPALLED I am at the EXTREMELY poor customer service I received from your receptionists I was speaking to. I called to find out the results from conversations between the radiologist and my doctor to see if LESS THAN 15 HOURS PRIOR TO THE APPOINTMENT whether it was still going ahead or not. I HAD TO TAKE THE DAY OFF WORK FOR THIS. The receptionist was so rude. From the condescending tone to when I politely asked if she wanted my number to call me when she had news there was no “oh no it’s okay, we have that one here, it’s the one ending in …” etc, it was just “WE WILL CALL YOU WHEN WE KNOW GOODBYE” and I barely was able to even say goodbye myself before she had terminated the call. The whole experience, from beginning to end was unprofessional, slack on the timing and absolutely appalling. My doctor has advised me that from the experience HE had, he is not going to be sending anymore patients to Exact Radiology so you guys are going to be losing a significant portion of business. I don’t care whether this is a bulk billed service or whether I had to pay $1000s upfront. You guys get paid through MY taxes. And I, alongside every other customer who has had a bad experience as well deserves better. Lift your game Exact Radiology Riverlink. Extremely disappointed.
Lovely receptions, easy to talk too, always understanding, perfect website support and in person support! Need more places like this
