Very disappointed with my experience at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court. Before my partners matter was heard, a court volunteer named Amanda approached me and provided what I believe was incorrect legal advice. I felt discouraged from exercising my right to contest an intervention order.nnI strongly recommend that anyone attending seek legal advice from a qualified lawyer rather than relying on advice from volunteers. People have the right to contest an order, and they should be able to make that decision based on proper legal advice, not feel pressured or discouraged.

My experience at Ringwood Court was disappointing. It felt like a waste of time, as I didn’t feel my concerns were properly heard. What was particularly frustrating was being asked to attend in the morning, only to receive an update at the end of the day.nnIf the court already has a list of matters to be heard, it would be much more efficient to allocate approximate time slots—such as 9:00 AM–12:00 PM or 1:00 PM–5:00 PM. This would help people better manage their time and reduce unnecessary waiting.

Court house - not impressnLegal Aid this time.  Very good. Great change.

I would highly suggest getting your own lawyer and not using one that works for the courts, as the last person i used turned on me and i received the worst possible outcome despite the other party’s False declarations. Hire youself a lawyer that actually cares.

Unprofessional. Disrespectful staff. They think because they work in a court it automatically gives them permission to be disrespectful. Wont survive outside their bubble in the real world.
